Adam Nicholes I lived in an artist colony/compound/warehouse apartments with a PA system. The day my parents came to visit, a rather odd roommate-neighbor got a hold of the PA system and played Jim Jones recordings over it as a joke. I had to explain a lot, since my parents didn’t quite get the living arrangements as it was.

Yes that's where the phrase "drinking the koolaid" comes from. Although at jonestown they did not drink koolaid. They drank a generic off brand, flavor aid, mixed with cyanide.
