easier magic ring: ch 2, sc 6 in the second ch from the hook! I always do it like this for fluffy yarn, it doesn't get stuck then !

Thank you, I made the little chap. Turned out cute. A few suggestions: - i could work with this because I was referring to other videos as to how to increase/decrease/ add safety hooks, etc - need better instructions on how to sew this chappie neatly. Maybe a no sew pattern in the future - maybe use colourful yarn so we can follow the steps more easily

I followed this tutorial yesterday and I absolutely love it! It was super easy to follow! I did tweak the pattern slightly just to make the body and limbs slightly longer. My little axolotl came out so so cute! Definitely going to be making more! 🥰

I struggle a bit with some aspects of makinf amigurumi, specially sewing and making tiny parts. I couldnt make the gills because the yarn I had was a little tricky to use, so I basically did chains of 5 and 6 and sc hdc back on them and make a "flat" looking gill xD kinda worked for me

I think a step is missing... there should be another step before adding the eyes. The step before adding the eyes decreases the count to 18, but it looks like when you sew the head to the tail, it looks like the head has 12 to match the body. Otherwise, great tutorial!

You can reduce the 2 loops at the end to make 12, or repeat again with the same pattern until the result is only 12 (repeat slowly)

So, I've spent the last hour trying to make this but everytime I get to the 3rd row I don't get 18 stitches, I get 28😭 help, what am I doing wrong?

Hi! If you have 12 on row 2, you’re already on the right track! Now on row 3, your first stitch should be a single crochet (only 1 crochet in the stitch youre on), and then the next stitch needs to be an inc, or an increase. This is where you put 2 new stitches into the one stitch. Now you alternate this pattern of single crochet, increase, single crochet! Let me know if you have any other questions!

I can't really see what to do. The video isn't very good quality even when set to full hd. I can't tell in what stich to crochet next. It could have at least been shown in written form. I am gonna have to use a different tutorial.

another pattern for the gills sups easy: make a mahic circle six single ccrochets and then fasten of . Sewing is the same as the sewing in the video.

Can someone explain what (3sc. Inc) x6 (30) means? Because on round five 4:23 I counted the the stitches and there were 16. So where is the 6x and the 30 coming from?

So on the start of the body you do 5sc in the magic ring, i do this, then it's inc, then 4sc, to make it 6 stitches, i have two extra stitches while doing this so, I've your it out over and over, I've skipped stitches even to make it to the 6 on the 5th round after doing that i once again have extra stitches. I know how to count, i know how to do these stitches etc... Why is it not coming out right? Ugh

in round 2 : inc only in the first loop, then continue with 4 sc, and you will get a total of 6 sc at the end in the 5th round: sc in the first loop then inc in the second loop, and so on until the end of the loop (6 times) and you will get a total of 18 sc --> [(sc,inc) x 6 (18)]

Im so confused!! At rnd 5 it says 30 stitches but i got 22!

Hi.. You have to start from the beginning, and follow the pattern slowly.. 5rd: [3sc, inc]×6. (30) Sc --> just one single crochet in the loop Inc -> two single crochets in the same loop

The Instructions kept getting more complex and mien didnt look right so i gave up probably gona try again after more experiace

Hi.. sorry if the tutorial not clear and easy to follow, but you can watch other video from other youtube channel for amigurumi basic/ beginners, and you can use this pattern again 😊 happy crochet! 💕
