The Amish poach deer all the time in my area. I can hear a single shot 10 min before end of legal shooting light just about every time I bow hunt coming from their property. My guess they didn’t want you to see all their dead poached deer carcasses laying around.

It’s about technology, not just the drone. Some amish don’t want any technology used beyond what is absolutely bare minimum necessary. While I have zero issues with ddr, or the idea of using a drone for this purpose, I can respect their religious choice and say “okay.” I think a video used to chastise them about it is a little overboard. If you were just teasing then a little bit, I don’t think that came through as just teasing.

I could see how game wardens wouldnt like a hunter to say “im only using this for recovery” and let hunters run around with these things in their trucks. It would lead to some bad players using them to cheat. Break the law i mean. Sports laws

Guys, this thing about being banned by the amish is clickbait. Most amish and by most i'd guess 90 percent (or more) are cool with DDR and would use their services. Many Amish do not use anything that is powered by any type of electricity, they believe having ready access to it will create temptation that can lead to television and other electrical luxuries that could hurt their values and using electricity from the grid is that they believe this reliance ties one to the world at the expense of God.

Jesus Christ and his Salvation on your sins is the only way into Heaven! Not some Amish Bishop telling folks they can only listen to their sermons about the Old Testament. Not worshiping a Bishops harsh strict rule over your life ! That’s called a Cult. Amish Bishops forbid their congregations to read the New Testament and practice in Christianity! Well I got news for You and the rest of the Amish God sent Jesus his only begotten son to be the lamb of the world to live a perfect sinless life. Like in the Old Testament God would only let the priests in the temple accept a pure animal to be slain for their sins. The animal had to be perfect without spot or blemish. Jesus lived that life without sin without spot or blemish & it was Gods plan he be crucified on the cross for the the blood to be applied for the redemption of mankind’s sin on earth. This was the new plan of salvation to get into heaven instead of animal sacrifice for the redemption of one’s sin. There’s gonna be a lot of Amish, So called Christians, Jehovahs Witness and of course the full blown evil people who bust eternity & Hell Fire 🔥wide open who aren’t saved by Jesus’s Salvation and received his Holy Spirit. The New Testament was very clear Jesus was & still is the savior of the world. Not Amish Bishops or Jehovah’s Witnesses Telling their people they can get into heaven by their good works! No it’s perfectly clear in the Second covenant the New Testament that God’s new Covenant requires Jesus’s Salvation to get into Heaven. After Jesus came to earth lived a sinless life without spot or blemish & as he died on the cross & fulfilled God’s plan of salvation for the word: Jesus’s dying words was it is finished, because he defeated Satan and made a pathway for mankind to get redemption and forgiveness of his sins on earth thru the slain blood of Jesus. Jesus was buried in a tomb arose on the third Day & walked amongst his disciples and other men like the apostle Paul formally known as Saul. He walked amongst men and then resurrected back into heaven to sit on the right hand of the father God. To be a interceder for you and I and everyone who asks him for salvation of our sins and his Holy Spirit In our lives. For this is the only way into heaven, not good works on earth, not under the new Covenant of God. Jesus & his salvation over our sin is the only way into heaven according to God’s Holy Word . Read John: chapt 3: 16-17. Also Jesus said in the New Testament also: (Quote) I am the way, the truth, and the life NO MAN come unto the father except through me first. Christianity isn’t a religion, it’s gaining salvation from Jesus and Christianity is a RELATIONSHIP WITH JESUS CHRIST! Jesus also said in the day of judgement many will claim they knew him and he said he will say: Depart from me for I never knew you. He speaks of all the people who he will spew out of his mouth who didn’t have a RELATIONSHIP (our salvation) with him. I beg anyone Amish to seek the only one who can give them salvation of Sin and a home in Heaven and that’s Jesus Christ and his salvation alone !!!!!!! The Holy Bible is very clear on that that’s why most Amish Bishops forbid their congregations to be reading the New Testament because they don’t want them to know the truth. And for Bishops to tell the rest of the Amish community to Disassociate themselves from the ones who seek the only one ✝️ Who can save them from an eternity in hell’s fires 🔥 which is JESUS ! Shame on them ! Jesus didn’t teach such cruelty ! That is a cult it’s a form of stronghold psychological slavery. Rest assured The almighty God himself is gonna send people who do other human beings that way into a special hot 🥵🔥place in hell for that type of psychological slavery amongst other human beings. Are maybe pass law if you get drone to find deer for on that property then it can not be hunted for the next 30 days and it has to be reported I don’t know I don’t think that would work either because a lot members on one lease etc I don’t know guess BAN DRONES

Never had any issues with a mechanical broadhead if shot in the right spot. I use them because I can't get as tight of groups with fixed therfore I can get a lot more range with a mechanical vs a fixed

@@craigwagner327 Yep I agree with ya. Everything comes down to shot placement and if the deer is quartered to the shooter or away. It’s amazing how far deer can go sometimes on a 1 lung hit.

That’s all well and good but the Amish don’t play by the rules on land that isn’t theirs. You know how many tickets they get for killing too many deer? Or filling tags for people that aren’t hunting? They use up every wildlife source they can outside of their property

If you can't see the potential problems with thermal drones then you are probably part of the new me generation where hard work and ethics are replaced with shortcuts and cheating. Strictly recovering dead deer is one thing and possibly acceptable. But finding poorly shot deer and chasing and locating live animals for killing advantage is completely unacceptable and should be considered poaching! Aiding inefficient Hunters is enabling bad practices hunters will take more and more for high-risk shots thinking they can just use a drone to help them track down an animal anybody can kill monster bucks with this technology remind me of this new crossbow Hunter telling everyone they are bow Hunters once again taking hard work and dedication out of the picture

Nothing against the amish, but from my limited experience, they hunt wherever they want, they don't know property lines or boundaries, it's not cool at all. It's like they just don't have any respect sometimes

Why is using a Drone bad for locating a deer and then go in and hunt him?? There is cell cams everywhere that give real time info on deer movement. Its not like they are using the drone to kill the deer, But sad thing is it could be used that way, just like they are using drones in wars now.

@@michaelg8642 yeah agreed. And I don’t have an issue with cell cams. It’s just something that I keep thinking about ever since I started hearing about the drone recovery being banned in states. I’m all for the way this guy is doing things but I can see how it could be used for bad also. Obviously the biggest issue is you might spot other deer bedded down and then the temptation for some people will be to try and move on them.

The technology is out there, and unfortunately people are going to do what people do. Use it to their misguided ways and abuse the rights and privileges. I can see how this COULD be useful, but I do see how it should be monitored by regulations as well to keep just ANYBODY from using this type of technology. And that being said, I'm about as conservative as they come. So for me to say we need regulations on something isn't an easy thing to say. That being said, I can also see this type technology playing right into the hands of DNR or other field agencies to watch for Poachers which I would be ok with as well.

If you don't want to respect their beliefs and religious laws, stay off their land. I have a very specific set of demands issued by the Amish in our county in order to use their land and have NEVER had an issue on their land. Every single deer I have harvested on their land, I have offered them choice cuts from the deer and not one time have they accepted and ALWAYS offer us to return.
