This keyboard has one major drawback in its placement of media control keys. They are placed quite far away from the FN key and you are compelled to use both of your hands to control the most used media keys like volume up/down. Instead of binding it with 'F1-F4' they could have used 'F9-F12'. A simple change like this would have made life a lot easier and it doesn't impact the pricing of the keyboard. Btw nice video ... Keep it up👍

It's an 85% keyboard. 60% keyboards don't have arrow keys and function keys.

tie a thread on the USB to the point you want them inside. so that even when you push it inside it doesn't go inside completely. And That's what she said.

Does the keys gets Registered when it's Pressed Halfway ? Like in Mechanical Keyboard the keys gets registered even if we don't press the key fully to the bottom . Does the Keys of Evo Fox also have that feature or it needs to be Pressed Fully to bottom ? Plz Reply Thanks .

This is a membrane keyboard, so the keys need to be pressed completely for it to register. Only linear mechanical keyboards have that low travel distance for a keypress.

Haven't used the blaze 3, but it seems like a full form keyboard. I prefer evofox tkl one.

Well there are no numeric keys on the right corner of the Evo fox Fireblade keyboard unlike other keyboards. So should that be a problem or it can be compensated?

That's why this form is called TKL (Ten key less). Yes, it's greatly usable as there's a number key row right above the alphabet keys

This is good enough for the price of 999. You can also buy it for 899 sometimes on a sale.

For the squeaking thing, it is due to the fact that the keycaps are wobbling around so it hits the stabiliser and makes that screeching noise. I suggest you to use dielectric grease, or even a piece of tape lightly around the ends of the stabs and the squeaking should be gone. At least, that's what happened in my case. Did it to the right shift key as well and was pretty satisfied

Returned it after 2 days! Keys sound very cheap. It would have been better if they never added the 'mechanical feel' for the sound, felt so so cheap. Another big issue is the non uniform RGB light distribution and illegible key-caps!! It was very difficult to read the keys in average light even with the backlight on. The key-caps were so shiny. I really doubt if I received a knock off, anyhow I returned it on the 2nd day and purchased CosmicByte Pandora Red switch...Living happily thereafter!!

You can take off the keycaps by pulling them. I'm not sure how you would replace them though.

Bro for long term use Which is best this keyboard or readgear blaze 3 . I have seen a 5 year experience of readgear blaze 3 with no issues and your Evo fox keyboard has too many issues in just 250 days

This keyboard's space bar sounds bad because of the stabilizers. But shift sounds good even with the stabilizers. It sounds pretty loud and its an annoying sound. How can i fix this?

The K300 is of course a full size keyboard. The LED backlight is a little dimmer compared to the FireBlade. However being a product from a well known brand, the warranty service would be better. So, I suggest you check out the HP K300: amzn.to/38Y4tOv

Have you faced issues where the key provides a tactile feedback and it feels like it has been pressed properly but, in actuality, the key press has not registered? I'm returning mine because of this.

I haven't had such issues with mine.. have you tried reinstalling the USB drivers on your computer or tried typing on a mobile device with this?

@@TheHopelessGeek My unit might have been defective. It wasn't an issue with the drivers, just that the feedback was before the actuation point. If I pressed the key further after the feedback until it bottomed out, the same key would register. During work, however, this false feedback resulted in a lot of typos. Anyway, great review and I loved the deadpan humour. 👍🏾

As a coder myself, you won't find any issues for typing. As for latency, I couldn't find any online test that reveals the input lag. If you find one, let me know. I'll run this keyboard through it.

Both are membrane keboards and are likely on par with each other. The Grim is a full form keyboard though.

I'm not a fan of how they look, but seems like they're a nice membrane keyboard. You can go for which you think looks better. I haven't used either of them myself though.

Nope. Just removeable if you need to clean. You can't add custom ones.

The keyboard is still going strong for me, but I feel a bit of finger fatigue because the keypress force is not uniform.
