You may be temporarily bummed about the Makarov, but it is a clear sign that you need a Makarov pistol. Definitely do some research about them, they are really well designed, sturdy, and balanced. I've had one for over 20yrs, and I would never get rid of mine.

Just in your last video you told me you sometimes get ammo for guns you dont have but rather anticipate to get, so the choice about the makerov is clear, get one lol. I've heard it said it makes sense to have a handgun in each popular caliber, so that if ammo runs out for one chances are you can find or have ammo for at least one of the others that way you'd always have something to use. Now, being on a small monthly pension this is difficult for me. Every new firearm I get i put on layaway and it takes me 3 months to get out and they are always the lowest price yet working and reliable I can find. As of now, aside from a heritage 22 barkeep I got mainly as a range toy, my edc is a Taurus g3. I'm ok with it out to 10 yards but beyond that my patterns open up. Eventually my goal is to at least get on paper out to 25 yards but I'm not there yet. That said I think it safe to say that the 2 most popular handgun calibers is still the 9mm, and 45 acp. Probably the next thing I out on layaway will be a hi point 45. But if my financial situation were better, here is the collection i'd have. I already have the barkeep in 22-22 wmr, next would be something in 25 acp, next in line would be something in 32, then 38-357, then 40 s&w, 10 mm, and 44 mag. I remember, I think it was in the early 80's, when the 454 casual was first released. At the time it was advertised as being 2 1/2 times as powerful as a 44 magnum. About the time I was thinking to myself they will never make a handgun more powerful than the casual, the 460 and 500 was released lol. 50 rounds for some of those guns would cost more than some guns I've had lol. At the end of the day I'd like to have more than what I have, but I have what I need.
@GunActivities3653 ай бұрын
I wouldn't buy a highpoint. There's other options for 45 for around the same price

@@GunActivities365 Brother to some I'd seem a stubborn old man about some things, to others one with commons sense, and some a cheap old bastid lol. I have a $50 flip phone that can makes calls and send texts with the best multi thousand dollar fancy smart phone. The beauty is in the simplicity. hen it comes to guns wat you say makes aloet of sense and truth be known if money were not an issue with me the first thingI'd go out and buy would be a Beretta 92, either an m9 or an fs 92, bit those things are more expensive than a good glock. Then again I insist on a manual safety and the Beretta has one. To those that insist that a manual safety gets in the way and takes too much time to click off in a critical moment I would reply that a manual safety can be disengaged on the draw and no time would be lost. When I think about it it seems that most accidental misfires, wether t be from dropping the gun or getting someing tangled around the trigger, happen with guns with no manual safety. And here's another thing. Glocks are one of, if not the most returned new handgun. reason being that alot of them are bought by first gun byers told by others they need a Glock. So they buy one only to realize later they have no manual safety. To those that would suggest I'm not confident enough to carry a gun with no manual safetyI would say you have a point there. To me a gun wth no manual safety is less safe and for one reason or another are more likely to experience unintential or accidental misfires. As of right now I carry a Taurus g3 which I'm ok with out to 10 yards and with the 2 17 round mags it came with I feel fortunate to have it. As far as hi points admittedly I am biased towards them because I live only 25 miles from where they are made and find that most of the disdain for them comes from those aht have ni personal experience with one.

Dunham's does have crazy prices, but that means they also have a lot of ammo on the shelf...in the long run better high priced ammo Available than no ammo at all on the shelf...hang onto that 9x18 9mm, someone will eventually make a fair trade (value the 9x18 about a couple dollars more than regular 9mm, as it is hard to find) with you...could take years, but the folks who shoot that caliber are out here...we have stingers and velocitors in the stash, a box of velocitors used for when we carry our NAA...lotta folks would advise stingers, federal punch, or the winchester segmenting ammo instead, but we're either stupid or hard headed, and like the weight/velocity combo...carry on...

The price of 1000 primers jumped in the space of five years $100. In 2019 I could get 1000 primers for $30. Pure insanity and greed. Never have seen price increases like this ever before. I get it that prices go up but they do it gradually and a little at a time. Yes more new gun owners now and demand is up but that should be reflected in slow price increases. Not a huge jump in the space of five years. No these price increases are not normal. Buy only what you need now until prices come back down or you get a good deal. No they won't come back down to pre-Covid prices but folks will eventually have enough of the price gouging forcing prices down. You are paying .13 cents per primer at that price $12.99/100 or $129.90 per 1000. Compare that to just .03 cents per primer in 2019. Ten cents per primer price hike or triple above what it was. Like I said that is a $100 mark up above cost in the space of five years.

Nice hual! Primers are a little spendy but hey you found some so rock it! So I've ran alot of amend 2 mags, glock and ar. Ive have had good luck with both. But ive also have had a couple bad ones out of 50 mags. Thing i like about the glock is it +2 rounds if i remember correctly. I do think pmag is a better mag but amend 2 is a great option out there too for the price. Never ran sar ammo and definitely never seen it in 12g 00 buck. Curious how it runs. I didnt see a velocity on the box, whats the fps? Great price on the 9mm Makarov ammo but that sucks it wasn't what you were looking for. You could always sell and trade it though. Speaking of selling and trading you should hook a brother up with some of ya findings 😂😂😂 large rifle magnums and 2 1/2 .410 is very difficult to find here. I've found maybe 100 rounds of 2 1/2 .410 in the last couple years and haven't seen any large rifle magnums local in 3+ years. Start a business and do some shipping. 🎉🎉🎉 😂 Nah this is great stuff here! Now lets get some in store video's and some shooting! Im think about recording my adventure this weekend, going out to the Eastside of the state to shoot out to 2,000 yards. Never shot 2k before so im pretty stoked to get the opportunity to go past 1,100 which has been my max I've shot. Stay fluid brother 🙏
