I mean..products have to exist for each price point, Larry went for the expendable income demographic and I'm sure it's paying dividends. But.. he'll never be the most generous man in the KZfaq detailing space, that honor goes to Mr Eddie Colon. Thanks for giving back to the community we love you.

Im Labocosmetica certificated - but don't use any of the regular products except Perfecta si02. Great products but they are not cost effective unfortunately. Shampoos / Pre washes etc are ridiculously priced. Unfortunately even after feedback this is not changed. Their coatings are great though - stc/blindo + hpc. Very good. Again kind of pricey but worth it.

1414 at my initial glands. When I looked at the products, even though I did get a 25% discount, I still thought they were a little expensive. But that was before I realized that the Prius 2.0 and the Pacifica are to be diluted 10 to 1:00. And that dropped the cost by 50%.when I add up the very cost competitiveness, the time savings in using 2ph and 3ph, and then the effectiveness, we'll that closed the deal. 😂🎉

I enjoy Brute in my wheel bucket for a tougher shampoo but need to try it in a cannon like you did. I agree the cost is high for a lot of these products and not having gallons is getting a better deal on a bulk order is a miss for a detailer. Details need to be efficient and cost-effective in most cases and this won't do that for most people. KCx and several other brands make up their cost in larger sizes and great dilution ratios. Better sprayers, 32 ounce, and Gallon bottles would help out a lot on this one. Good break down EC, doing it for the people!

I have bought Ammo products since 2012 when they first came out. They are phenomenal. Yes there are other products they are better in cost but his products are targeted for weekend warrior or DIY. He never was going after the professional detailer, even though there’s many professional detailers that use his product and their business. I have used his products in my business, and I was still extremely profitable using them, but only specific ones. Hydrate was probably one of my favorite products. It was the first true drying aid on the market, and Larry was basically the one who came up with a drying aid way back in the day. he’s a one-man shop so for him selling gallons it’s just not feasible. He has mentioned it plenty of times. He knows people once gallons but he just can’t do it right now because of how his business is set up. if he was to get somebody else in to assist that side of the business, I think gallons is definitely possible in the future but right now he’s not gonna fix something that’s not broken. All his products I have used in the past are just phenomenal and you just have to pick the right products that works for you and your business if that’s what you use them for. Overall great review ammo boost is another one of my favorite products as well. It’s funny because we use hydrate my wife used to love using It once we got to the drying portion.

I like to use chemicals that cost $40 (US) gallon or lower in my shop (when possible). I also like using chemicals made in the US. I'm not sure who is buying Larry's stuff, but if any detailers are using it I hope they are charging accordingly. Its a great system, and if you like Larry and his content (which I do) buying from him is a good way to support him. I spend a lot of money on detailing products, but I only like spending extra money when it comes to tools, equipment and long lasting things (like coatings). I just spent big $$$ on a bougie 15mm cordless polisher (and I want to buy the 21mm too)...so I can't see myself buying a lot from him due to the price. That said, if there are a couple unique standouts that I'm not going to use a ton of, I'll give them a shot. So far I've only bought Boost anti-salt and also the anti-salt Frothe, haven't used either one yet but I'm going to test it out soon on my wife's car. I want to see if I can use Frothe anti-salt as a pretreatment for a rinseless wash, hoping it might be an option for the super cold dead of winter days when I don't want to use my pressure washer. Plum doesn't have any iron remover in it, Larry has said that is why he dyes Plum that color to mimic an iron remover. I've never seen him use any sodium thioglycolate products so I wonder if that plus Brute and/or clay is enough to remove rust staining. I'm curious about Hydrate. Does the protection in it only last until the next wash, or does it stack up over time? I like my coatings like I like my wife...naked.
@Ecdetails
@Ecdetails 4 ай бұрын
Frothe is so good used it for years never mixed boost with it , I will say compare to everything on the marketer it holds up just to expensive long term. I’m trying to see this from both sides , consumer/business owner. I don’t know longevity on the actual hydrate but I mm digging it man always have the new formula sprays Better and goes a long way

BOOST and FROTHE were my go to for winter washes when I was living in an apartment. I don't see a lot of foaming waterless washes and the combo of FROTHE + BOOST feels the safest on an actual dirty car when you don't have access to a hose. The problem you don’t realize is these products are not made for the high volume detailer. It’s made for the DIY individual or those that can use it in their high end detailers. He has said many times he hasn’t made gallons because he doesn’t need too. He is a one man crew and cannot take on the volume of how many more orders there will be. He said he understands gallons will be great but not high on his list because he doesn’t have the man power. He didn’t make the products for people he made them for his business but then decided to sell them to the public. He has been selling to the public since 2012ish so since he is a small business owner he is fine targeting a certain group. There are a lot of pro detailers that use his products and are very profitable.

@barrycook8116 Larry is a stand up guy too and stands behind his products since hes the one primarily using them. I do think if he stepped up to 32oz sized bottles at the least things would be easier, but hes also really good at product use so its easy for him to reduce his consumption of said products by using them in the right places with the right amount. He did have them formulated for his work afterall. I think the only product of his I really wish had a Gallon is Plum. I still to this day like it more than Brake Buster but refuse to pay the Plum tax when two 16oz bottles equals a Gallon of Brake Buster, and I go through that stuff like crazy.

Been watching your channel for the past year now and want to say i appreciate the content and the work you put in. BUT, you seem to dislike bigger, established and proven brands like CarPro, and you often take shots at them for how much it costs. I don't see how someone who claims its all for the people and the culture, could recommend such costly products which are not that dilutable, don't come in larger quantities, and come with crappy sprayers. I don't want to assume anything, but i feel like if CarPro or KCx did that you would shred them in a review. I think Larry is great, have learned a lot from him, and respect his business, but I didn't see any results that could not be achieved with any reputable brands for a fraction of the cost, with better dilutions, sprayers and quantity sizes. now starting to feel like Soc when he asked in the most recent Keep It Real podcast, "is there anything yall don't like?"

End of the day the products I mention , lather, soap , forthe or do what it says, worked well would I buy it for every day use In my business no. Kcx , car pro was made for the professional in mind , would you agree that at point they’re held to that standard? Cost per use , usage in sun etc, dilution etc. I buy this stuff to give my feedback end of the day everyone has to make there own mind , when we test brands coming up carpro/ kcx, shine supply, Gyeon to me Those brands are more in line to the pro

Fair enough. Not meant to throw shade, just curious. I truly think your content is entertaining and love to see your thoughts and opinions. To me the consumer and pro labeling of any product is arbitrary if all of it is available to any ordinary consumer. Just as we are seeing with ""pro" vs "consumer" ceramic coatings. If I can buy a pro version and a consumer version just as easily, then i will be comparing them against each other. Thats where brands like Turtle Wax still hold value, if they are marketing it as consumer grade products and are a better value, now you got a reason to purchase something that's not "pro" grade and save a few bucks. But in the case of Ammo, since everything costs as much or more than their professional equivalent, i don't see the advantage, even as a consumer. I like quality products and am willing to spend a premium for the good ones. I am blessed that i can purchase whatever i want for myself, but still won't throw my hard earned money on products that cost more than they need to with no perceived benefit. Its where Obsessed Garage lost me, i enjoy high quality products, but im not trying to pay $100 for quick connects greased with the tears of crying angels. Anyways, keep doing what you do Eddie, you have become my new favorite detailing channel, and i share my opinion for the culture as well, so we can all make informed decisions and enjoy detailing the best way possible.

@@veils1de350zah I get it at first I was like what’s my dude talking about? I understand now, so I’ll take that as feedback going forward I’ll compare it with everything you could buy as a consumer because at that point it don’t matter that makes sense in my mind, I was comparing it if I was just an average dude didn’t have a garage or business, and wanted to wash my Tesla, you’re seeing it as Eddie stop trolling. How does it compare to everything else online bc that makes sense I’ll do that going forward. I appreciate you and the feedback.

😂😂🤣 Too many con-men in ‘Murica…trickin’ many Americans with cheap theatrics. The guy who claimed to be ex-NYC knows what eye candy the little kids love to see. Long ago in the UK, a mentally disturbed Brit (Mr TD) who charged thousands of dollars to wash supercars, was the UK’s version of such a theatrical con-man😂
