I have to agree with you, i have the same top 5! Except 1. Pursuit of vikings ofcourse number 1 and 2. Runes to my memory and 3. Twillight of Thunder god 4. Heidrun and 5. Saxon and vikings!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉😂

The last few Saxon albums are so good! I agree that this is a really nice song, not in my top 5 though. To me Death in Fire, Cry of the Black birds, Varjags of Miklagaard, Pursuit of Vikings and Twilight of the Thundergod all outperforms this one. Great reaction from you as usual!

Nice video, guys! I immediately loved Saxons and Vikings, when I listened to it for the first time. In the meantime, I want to recommend you listen to new Therion's album. Leviathan III. I remember you didn't like the previous one, but this one is much, much heavier and contains some of their most crazy tracks. The opening song Ninkigal is real heavy and harsh with whole death metal choir singing. And dark and gloomy Maleficium sends you to some really dark realms of your mind. My personal favourite from it is doomy Twilight Of The Gods, very powerful one. But I definitely recommend you to try Duende, it's Spanish flamenco wrapped in metal shell. Very interesting experience.

Cry of the Black Birds, Under the Northern Star and Embrace of the Endless Ocean are the most overlooked Amon Amarth songs imo, so I'd say these arer my top 3.

It's been long since i last heard both of these voices. And seriously i liked the mish-mash of the line-up. Some "traditional" vikings, but sunglass and baseball cap men among 'em.

For what it's worth, Alfred the Great and the Anglo-Saxons won the Battle of Edington (referred to in the final verse) over the Great Heathen Army. So it's interesting that Amon Amarth is doing a song about a battle that "their" side lost. Also a lot of cool Old Norse insults in the lyrics.

I am with pedro here, yes their sound has become more cheesy with the years, more predictable etc, but oh my it is sooo good. Love this track, love the vibe love all of their albums no exception!!!!

are you guys not familiar with their older stuff? like pre Twilight of the Thunder God? this is my fav song of that album as well. it sounds more like their older stuff which i prefer.a top five is so hard considering they have so many great albums.. but what i can think of off the bat my top five in no ranking order Twilight Of The Thunder God Cry of the Black Birds The Pursuit Of Vikings Versus The World Runes to My Memory

EPic video !!! It's great because saxon and amon amarth are two of my favorite bands ever. With that said, the song is not one of my favorites, I like it for sure, but that's it. I didn't know the guitarists recorded the solos.. that's cool !! Have you seen the movie with JOhan Hegg "Northmen: a viking saga"..? which.. spoiler alert... he is like for 5 minutes...
