Among Cultists is a board game with a unique social deduction experience, where you portray as investigators trying to prevent a secret ritual from happening in a University...or as a cultist doing everything to make the ritual happen. To get the job done you will need to be cunning and smart and not let the other players know what you have in mind. You need to make sure that your moves are not too obvious but at the same time do all you can to reach victory! To do this you will need to do different room actions but also use your characters' actions to get knowledge from books. When you think you know who the cultist is, it's time for you to vote!
In this video, I'm going to show you how to play this board game of lies and deceit, I show you an overview of the game but also go through the gameplay and how to play.

I'm curious about this, because I love social deduction games (I have played almost all of them). Not fully sure, if this brings enough "twist" to the genre, but I will follow the KS campaign.

I actually don't usually like deduction games but I thought that this one was quite nice to play and had many ways to change the game. Many different roles that gives the game new life in every gameplay :) Do you have a favorite deduction game?

@@JendersGaming That's a tough one. My most played social deduction game is "Secret Hitler" and has the best theme (if you like to call your friends fascists :D), but Feed the Kraken is little bit more premium experience and does bring some needed twist. However, those are pretty bad games, if you are playing with less than seven people. The Thing: The Boardgame (2022) was a surprisingly positive experience even with lower player counts (we played with 5 and 6), but I feel the ending is not very good - it's pure luck, if humans manage to win. Some kind of house rule might help with this. Unfathomable / Battlestar Galactica brings more "game" to the table, but they are waaaay too long. Still looking the one social deduction game that would push the genre to new heights :)

Ah cool, will have to try to find secret Hitler then. I have had my eyes on Unfathomable for quite some time, that one looks so good and a long play time are ok for me, so I think I will have to find that one as well haha. @@JendersGaming Depending where you are located, Secret Hitler might be the same price as non-Deluxe version of Feed the Kraken. If you ok with pirate theme, you will get more for your money from it.

I gess you have alot of games. But i also have to say. I seen alot of videos of this game. But yours is the best one when it comes to structure and what to do for each step.. rly nice

Wow ... the game seems extremely interesting ... but at the same time, there seemed to be literally dozens of things to have to remember (and some of us can hardly remember two things:) I'm surprised that the BGG complexity rating is less than 2.5 ... what do others think about this?

Ot is a great game am deserves all the light it has gotten on itself! Well yes, there is quite a few things to keep track of, but once you have played 1-2 rounds you get the hang of it 😉

Att around 13 minutes. Placing the alive or dead cards in an encounter is placed on you player mat with the other alive or dead cards alrdy there? Thats how i read it.
