Apologies for cutting off mid-song, but I had run out of ways to manipulate the footage I had.
This is my AEMH OTP. As incredibly dysfunctional as it is. Amora and Zemo were already two of my favorite rogues, so when they started being all flirty in "Masters of Evil," I was like "YESSSSSS!" Then Amora told Thor she was just stringing Zemo along to get him to go with the plan and I was like "NOOOOOOOOO!" And I decided I wasn't going to stop shipping it. Then "Acts of Vengeance" actually gave me the most fuel for this ship of all. Even though the whole thing is about Amora's quest to destroy Zemo, she gets WAY too obsessed over it. Tracking down ALL his associates? Not resting until she's killed him? As much as I know the writers weren't going for it, I can only see that as her trying to get revenge for a broken heart. Really, would you obsess THAT MUCH over making someone pay if you didn't care about them enough to feel REALLY betrayed?
And so I have this whole headcanon that even though Amora loves (or "loves") Thor forever to a degree where she can't let it go, she secretly has feelings of lust for Zemo that she doesn't quite want to admit.
I have no evidence whatsoever that he actually cares anything about her, but again, they were pretty flirty in "Masters of Evil," so I have to imagine he was caught up in romantic tension as well. Leaving him to have to decide whether Amora or his plans of domination were more important. And we all know what he picked.
This ship is rife with dysfunction and I'm not sure why I love it so much BUT I DO.
