Anneke is the Queen of Symphonic metal. From day 1 i loved her. Before 25 (or so) years she was my favor female singer. Amorphis is the example how a death metal band converts and creates awesome music almost 30 years after their start... 30 years journey! Anneke worked with Devin Townsend and Ayeron too!. Take a look at her Wiki page. You will find alot of info there. From her first band "The Gathering" their first album "MANDYLION" changed my music taste forever. Thanks. Amorphis is nice band, starting 1990. That guitarist Esa Holopainen (no relation to Tuomas Holopainen from Nightwish) is founding member and also doing biggest part of their music. In lyrics they use much Finnish epic novel "Kalevala" stories. Stories before the Christian time. Tomi Joutsen is lead vocalist and Anneke was guest in this one song. Tomi´s clean vocals are really beautiful and his growling feels awesome. He is also well known for that he can change back and fort between clean vocals and growling in split of second (you notice one of that kind moment when he change in this song, you reacted to that moment - and I was waiting if you react to that :D ) So, cos they have been around 30 years, they have a lot of songs, also their style has change trough the years. BTW, they have now this year 30th anniversary tour, and some cities they are doing quite funny concerts. They are in that city 3 days, every evening a concert - for one decade songs! Like 1990-1999, 2000-2009, 2010-2019. Might you want try make reaction to "Death of a King" from 2015 album? Official video. BTW: Something about Nightwish Nightwish new album will be released Apr 10th and music video Noise Feb 7th. I just cannot wait..., cos... Last week in Lapland Nighwish kept for music journalists special happening, introducing new album and a video. There were (metal) music journalists from UK, Spain, Netherlands, Germany and Finland. From Finland our broadcasting company even send film group there! They made interview about Tuomas and it came out from Finnish main news program! I guess, Nightwish is ONLY band who can do such a thing, describes their position in Finland. In that occasion, several music journalists were in tears, new album was so good! And if you can get such a reaction out from people who have seen and heard everything in metal genre... !!! So, like I wrote, CANNOT WAIT !!!

His voice is incredible both clean and growl/scream.. check out "The Bee" from Amorphis, to hear a bit more of his growls, but still with cleans mixed in. its my fav. Amorphis song!

So glad you liked this one! Anneke's voice is just incredibly sweet sounding and hits the ears just right, even if she doesn't blow me away the way someone like Floor Jansen does. The first Amorphis song I heard was "Death of a King," and it's still one of my favorites, so I recommend checking it out! Also, I'd definitely be interested in a Facebook like page. I started one for my channel, and it's seriously helped me get my videos out there.

One of the best bands going (since 1990!)...they have never made a bad album IMO. Anneke is a guest vocalist here and she is one of my all-time favourite vocalists. The male vocalist (Tomi Joutsen) has been with Amorphis since 2004 and has some of the best clean & growly vocals in metal as well. Cheers!

Anneke's been working with Devin Townsend Project and she's just amazing. But what I really think you should do is to check out her song Feel Alive, to which you will find an original video from KZfaq. And yes, the singer of Amorphis is one of the best Finnish metal singers by his voice, definitely.

I think the vocal combo here was really great. Where there is Anneke, there I follow. I love Floor, Anneke and Marcela Bovio singing Ayreon's "Valley of the Queens"

Without Anneke, Floor would not be doing what she's doing now. She's her whole reason for singing Metal. Anneke's as in-demand as Floor is. And she's collaborated with Amorphis before. Queen Of Time is a great album. Their music is influenced by the Kalevala, which is said to be Finland's National Poem. Give yourself more exposure to Anneke and I guarantee you will fall for her magical voice. 🤘 That chorus...💥❤️😍

Pretty much love everything Anneke is in. Amorphis are great. Check out the Bee. Also for more Anneke try Travel or Strange Machines by the Gathering. Also love all her work with Devin Townsend. She is featured heavily on his songs Kingdom, Supercrush, Grace and on and on. She works really well as a duo with another singer for some reason.

Amongst Stars is a really nice song. Anneke van Giersbergen herself is not part of Amorphis, she has her own bands (The Gathering, Vuur). If you wanna hear more of Amorphis, you may listen to "The Bee" and I also recommend "Hear My Call" by Timo Tolkki's Avalon. It features Anneke it as well and is a really nice song.

If you want to listen to another voice that grabs your attention then have a listen to Dianne van Giersbergan (no relation to Anneke) she fronts the band "Ex Libris" . Have a listen to and do a reaction to the song "The Motherland". Her voice is incredible!

Anneke is amazing. I don't think she gets the props she deserves because she collaborates all over the place.

I just love this song. You should also check older Amorphis. Black Winter Day and Alone are very good. If you wan to shock yourself, you should do a reaction video about Impaled Nazarene (it is from Finland too) . As a song to listen to either The Horny And The Horned or Hardboiled And Still Hellbound.

Her voice has quality for me. I'm a songwriter and she's what I've been looking for since SHE decided to leave me (not Anneke!). Don't have relationships with your band members if you want a career. But this time it was the other way around. That is she was my girlfriend before she started singing. But still stupid.
