Amorphis' guitarist Esa Holopainen (no relation to Tuomas), released his first solo album Silver Lake by Esa Holopainen back in 2021. Very much worth checking out for.

I concur! And from Silver Lake by Esa Holopainen you get smoothly to the Norwegian diamond called Leprous ❤ Guess Leprous has not been covered here by Eric yet? I'd recommend, truly a band worth listening to. They have so so many great songs but on the top of my list are "Below", "Slave", "Alleviate", "From the Flame".

Tomi's voice reminds me of Chris Cornell's in its warmth and evoking of emotion. And he sounds just as great in person as he does recorded.

Always thought Tomi's growls are warm and comforting in a weird way, more than they are aggressive. Not to mention his beautiful clean singing. And this band, they sound just as great live. Pure magic.

Once again I thank you, Eric ❤ This was a beautiful reaction to a beautiful song. One of my favourites of Amorphis all time, but especially this latest album. I saw them live 3 times in 2023 and I can't wait for the next time! Thank you ❤️

this band is headlining the progmetal festival on sept. 6th in atlanta this year. the band playing before them is LOVEBITES who i think you know well and who is my favorite band!!!. i cant see see these guys coming on after LOVEBITES.

Esa Holopainen created Amorphis back in the early 90s when he was maybe 18? (Can't bother looking it up). My 16 year old ass fell in love with their original melodic death metal when I heard "tales from a thousand lakes". Been following their career ever since and I'm so happy for their success!
