People in the west always puts a lot of thought on when and how to wear a fragrance.. you should wear it in fall or summer day or night hot or cold suit or t-shirt etc.... in the middle east we just wear it even when going out to the supermarket . Don't complicate a beautiful simple thing .. wear it when you feel like it and enjoy it.

I just got this masterpiece of a fragrance, like today (same day as this is airing). First (and I don't use this word often, if at all) it is BEASTLY in its projection. Incredibly strong! I thought I could conjure up a picture based on Fragrantica's note description, but alas I fell very short. On first sniff I get this incensy vibe that nicely backs up the very spicy but well structured foreground of saffron and cinnamon. My olfactory experience might not be as extensive as others, but Overture man provides something that I haven't experienced before, ever. A warning to all the fragrance aficionados out there tempted to blind buy this fragrance like I did: slow your roll. Granted, this fragrance serves as a masterclass in perfumery, but trust me when I say that it's proving a hard task to match this with an occasion. Test it out first, especially if you value versatility in your fragrances. Based on my limited experience with it, Overture man would work well in evening night-out situations where you want to be the center of attention. Hands down a 10/10 fragrance.

It is a super masculine, very long lasting, and elegant fragrance that I added to my masculine scent department of my collection that now consists of, Amouage Interlude Man Amouage Overture Man Parfums De Marly Pegasus Exclusif Creed Aventus Creed Green Irish Tweed I kind of wanna mention Initio Oud For Greatness, but I separate it from my masculine department so it sits with others. Thank you so very much for this episode that I’ve been waiting for, impatiently!

My last blind buy along with Xerjoff's Starlight (really delicious!). I'm a bit undecided. It's a fragrance that has not completely convinced me yet. Beautiful opening but the little evolution (a characteristic that many Amouages ​​share) in the end is tiring. I wore it this morning to study it better considering that I don't work ... but even today after a few hours it exhausted me. Tomorrow I will wear Starlight. Hi Josephine Amouage Overture Man is an fantastic fragrance and a full bottle is on a high position on my buying list. Unfortunately in germany it's not available in shops/onlineshop, it's only available on Herrods. I think I will get Overture Man in 2021 and also Interlude 53 Man. Greetings from germany

What would you pick from their universal line or could you maybe do a video on that? The notes are very interesting. In the opus ones the combinations and notes they use are very unusual but I love unisex and it seems a lot are using similar notes and this house are using notes that I didn’t even think of it’s very intriguing. wow...this was like lightning fast review! :) so what's Josephine's SOTE for 25th DEc?

I definitely get the “boozy” notes but not cognac. It’s the smokiness that combines to imitate a strong scotch from the highlands. This is is absolutely one of my favorite fragrances. There is no sweetness for me. I picture myself in a cigar bar enjoying a dram of Laphroiag. NOT for a teen or most 20 somethings. This has sophisticated gentleman written all over it.

I love jubilation and beach hut man.

I purchased a sample based on a Demi Rawling review, and the fact that I have (and love) Reflection Man and Beloved Man. I also love other boozy scents such as Roja Enigma Parfum Cologne and John Varvatos Dark Rebel. But this one did not make it past the test strip, because I found it medicinal and off-putting, kind of like Unicum. While I admire the perfumery, I could never see myself wearing it. But I am not a big fan of the more challenging Amouage Fragrances (Interlude, Memoir, Journey, etc) and even find Jubilation Man repulsive (too sweet like IHOP pancake syrup). On the other hand I absolutely adore PDM Pegasus Exclusif, and agreed 100% with your review of it and comparison to Pegasus. The more challenging Amouage fragrances to me are like the smell of death in a hospital - just not for me.

Don't buy this perfume before testing, it's certainly not suitable for office, clubbing or summer. You can't wear this fragrance before you had your first grey hair and a full beard, or a Harley. If you like animalic 80's beasts like Kouros, this might be a more modern alternative. I'm glad I had a sample...guess I really don't like the smell of cognac with cigar butts. :-) @Josephine... try Amouage Beach Hut Man, it's a stunning summer fresh mint-woody beast.

I'm 50, my signature scent. Warm, cold, day, night, it just works for me. There is something that is addicting with Overture. Very unique scent.

Could not wash Lyric Woman off my skin fast enough, and Gold woman, well let's just say FM's Iris Poudre is a million times better!! Just find this brand completely overrated.
