They are celibate if that's how they view themselves. Celibacy is for an extended period of time (sometimes for life) and excludes ALL forms of sexual activity. But they can be abstinent because abstinence is self choosing to no not penetrate however others look at that as a loop hole too. There are 3 versions of celibacy. Sacerdotal (priestly) celibacy The Pre-Christian ideal is No sex before marriage. Monastic celibacy is what monks follow and Institutional celibacy is what nuns follow. After that it’s all bs and 2020+ made up nonsense. We can’t keep making up our own definitions for words or excuses of “If they feel like it they are” because that’s just lying to people and ourselves for others sake and feeling. So no if they view themselves as celibate they can still not be. If I get charged for manslaughter I didn’t PURPOSELY try to kill somebody that Murder. One thing can alway be similar or go hand and hand but are still different things. girl not at all. celibacy refers to not having sex due to religious or spiritual beliefs lol. abstinence is the absence of any type of sex for any period of time... if they aren't having sex due to personal reasons outside religion or spirituality. You don’t know guys how much this made me happy my grandma is going throw cancer treatment and y’all made me happy when y’all posted , sadly she won’t able to live long because she isn’t as strong and I just am praying for her and hoping I’ll get to meet her but I don’t know if that is gonna be possible until summer comes, I LOVE YOU GUYS SOO MUCH THANK YOU THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY DAY ❤❤❤❤ Update: my grandma is dead. Thank you for the positivity comments they are appreciated.
