every time i mention an episode number i'm actually referring to production codes ('cause i'm a huge nerd who guessed), which is why most are larger than 100 and some episodes (2 or 3 parters) are referred to with multiple production codes, since each code represents one 11 minute segment (wow!)

On the calamity trios ages. Matt Braly intended for them to be 15-16, but Disney insisted that they be younger.

this was an incredible essay. I adore amphibia but even i can realize that amphibia has shortcomings with its story telling. I always thought that one of its shortcomings was their storytelling philosophy of "loading the party cannon" where everything is building up for an explosive finale. While good on paper, this can lead to problems in telling the individual storytelling pieces. One of the issues i had with season 3, is as much as i like darcy, the problem with having a mind controlled character is that they aren't making choices where there's room to grow. I always thought it was a bit weird how marcy gets all of her development wrapped up in "All in". certainly doesn't help that we barely saw her much of that season.
