Being a Disney "soap opera", is good to see that there are still some mysteries that we can make theories of.

Fun fact; episode 4 is looking more like another Gravity Falls. I did another comment earlier on this and had an idea of Anne and the talking frogs crossing over with an adult Dipper and Mabel Pine. Here's the story Dr. Jan was a friend of Dipper and the Pines were in Los Angeles for a science convention. She gets in touch with Dipper and explains the situation of Anne and the Planters and ask for his help. Mabel on the other hand would hang out with Polly and Sprig. At least Disney should do a story sketch crossover as they did with the Owl House Amphibia crossover.
