This is the full documented story of how we built the first ever amphibious houseboat vehicle, "Beast Of Burden." Over 2 years documenting the build have been compiled into one video. From the origin story, to the maiden voyage. Thanks for watching!
The appropriately named “Beast of Burden,” is a merger between a 32ft houseboat (1967 Jeffboat Sunliner) and a 3-wheel tractor (Rickel “Big-A” Sprayer). Built by Theon of Theonomics. No rational reason why, he just thought it’d be cool.

I was looking at StabiX amphibious boats and found this brilliant reuse of equipment. Much faster on land than the StabiX and as a amphibious houseboat it doesnt need the bigger water speed of the StabiX. I love it when things are restored or reinvented/repurposed.

It's great that it worked out so well. I'm glad it did. But in the test I would never have put my family in danger. Maybe it's because I'm a bit lacking in confidence, but I would have done the test without people on board, lest there be a leak, a loss, as well as not knowing if the weight and buoyancy were well distributed. But anyway, I'm glad it worked without mishaps, and that now you have one of the coolest amphibians of the place... maybe of the state or of the country, haha...

I came here, because I had a similar idea, and I was looking to see if someone has already done it. My idea is that a normal caravan fits perfectly inside a boat. They are functionally coupled, making the caravan, is part of the boat, but at the same time, that the boat has its own without the caravan. This way, you could travel almost anywhere in the world with the boat, and where the boat doesn't reach, the caravan does. Of course, it's just an idea that I have no idea how to build. Nor do I have the necessary materials or budget, haha....

Can you make a V shape deflector in front of the rear wheel?

It's challenging because of the rear wheel steering, but there might be something back there that could be done to make it more efficient. Really appreciate that thought
