That was my first impression about the strings as well. I didn’t like it as much as the Taylor or Martin until tweaking the effects and altering the various round robin options in the settings. I have found that I play it differently than the others, which is interesting. As of late, I think the SJ and the Martin are my favorite now. Which is yours?

Toby Ryan I totally agree. Martin and SJ’s finger/Thumb libraries are great for subtle arpeggios. I would probably favor Martin and Taylor for most strumming. Taylor’s pick library is a bit harsh so it really fits best in broad arrangements where I’ve wanted the steel string attack sound to really cut through. I can’t say I’ve found a more versatile acoustic alternative. Orange tree is close, but nowhere near as good for strumming.

​@@TobyRyan I have been playing with the Guitar M Lite, and loving it. Struggling a bit with the auto strum. Any tips? is there a chart? chord = trigger key. somewhere, anywhere? would be so much easyer to use for a none guitar player like me, if the was a chart.

That’s a good question! I can verify it goes down to D using the UI tuning pegs. However, technically, there are deeper advanced tuning options found in the Sample Editor tab that allow the E1 samples to go down to Db. Then it’s just a matter of figuring out the open chord voicings you want and play them using the keyboard.

Both are up to date with similar features. The difference being the extra mic selections on the AGSJ. Both sound great, but the tone is more subjective as to what sounds pleasing to your ear. For example, the AGM was my favorite until the AGSJ - I prefer the deeper tone body sound. You might try the trial version of AGM III. That‘ll give you an idea of what it sounds and feels like to use. These are customizable, so definitely experiment with the main presets, but also the FX presets to enhance the tone.
