Man I can't tell you how much I appreciate your videos. I'm just a regular blue collar guy who like a lil bump to the sound, nothing crazy, but good clean bass. That being said, I'm a complete novice at picking out audio components. I want something small to keep space, something like two 6.5s or two 8s. I'd like a couple or mean 8s with all the power they need, but I have no idea how far down the rabbit hole I need to go. From electrical to amp and sub, I need help picking out good components and your videos are super helpful bro I appreciate your work. 🤙

Kinda like the video you posted earlier about showing us how to tune epicenter. I agree with you 💯👍. Dealing with that now with my full sundown audio system. From the full sets of components I got for the inside to my 2 x8v3 sub I got for under the seats running on a 500.4 and a 3000.1. It's taking so much electrical to run it that I get alot of clipping it seems like? From experience don't go cheap. I'm learning the hard way.😩😩🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

My 2500BDcp is a fn beast. I only run it at 4 ohm to a DC Audio M2 XL 12. It’s 2200rms and it’s getting about 1600. It’s in 2.25 cubes after displacement and tuned to 37 with an aero port. She bangs. If COVID don’t f up car shows this summer, I wanna get it metered.

I now have a JBL made by crown in my Toyota Highlander . Used it with SUNDOWN,DIGITAL DESIGNS and more. Now I have a modest system with two Solo Classic tens they are ten plus years old. Small sealed, And it is as clean and punchy as anything I have ever heard! I am no stranger to the old school type AB Rockford fosgates either. love it even at my age. (I'm a drummer and sound engineer and know what a kick drum should sound like).

Definitely agree. Own a kicker kxa 1600.1 and a sundown sfb 1500. After less than 2 years the sundown fried itself and almost started a fire. The kicker is still running.

Oh the Orion hcca 3000.1dsplx is 600 bucks and lifetime warranty on all parts and labor that amplifier will clamp 8,500 Watts RMS given that 16 volts and wired at 0.5 so after impedance rise it's one ohm but for the money and the quality Orion HCCA amplifiers are the best of the best

I will add the Audio Art 200rxt. A very under rated amp that was quality built back in 1998, and it’s still running in 2021!! And the ratings are true and actually they are under rated amps!! He is spitting straight facts!!! Get your electrical system right and then get a good amp. Speakers are easy to make sound good with a proper box and a good amp!! The only other amps I like in 2020 are the Orion XTR line, or the kicker line of amps. For now I am still using my audio art 200.2rxt that is a old school quality amp.

Me being poor I know alot of people don't like audiopipe but for the money I've never had a problem that wasn't user error and am satisfied. Box matters ALOT too I figured that out building my own.

I do love the Rockford fosgate power series amplifiers they have amazing filtering and they are not cheap but worth it if you got the dollar another amplifier that I would highly recommend that is budget friendly and produces amazing power with amazing filtering is the Orion hcca 3000.1 d splx it's incredibly efficient and it's not a cookie cutter the engineer their own amplifiers just like Rockford fosgate that 3,000 w amplifier is capable of clamping 8,500 Watts and the awesome thing is it does it's rated power at 12.6 volts not 13.8 or 14.4

MB, you never mention Alpine along with JL, Kicker, Rockford, and even Orion... But Alpine makes some damn fine amplifiers as well. I run an old school MRX-M240, and I have many other options.

I have a bd-1000 .best damn amp I've ever owned.. also i bought a toro amp it's quality is up there with kicker & fosgate really good amp

So i was going to go with a kit u show here (kicker q8 in aluminum box and 800watt or 600watt kicker amp) but i got on Amazon and for about 400 minus a box i can get a 4 gauge wire kit, alpine type r 12 and a 600watt @2ohm alpine amp and theres a cheap 1.65cft vented box to get me started at $50, thats a banging system for 450 in a mini van! A lot of amplifiers are dyno'd by resistive loads, not reactive. We have different electrical, different enclosure, and box rise which changes ohm resistance. Do your research closely

In my opinion, the enclosure matters more than the sub. A shitty sub can sound decent in a good box, but no matter what a bad box ruins sound. Taraamps makes power very cheap, but where are you going to get the 800 amps its trying to pull?

Had a p1000 bd put a 3000k taramps honestly more impressed with the 1000bd Cleaner I imagine the power series ima get me a 1500 bdcp or a 2500 bdcp

I'm 90s audio freak, Orion, fosgate, kicker,alpine back then alpine was the king of head units and kicker ruled the sub world, amps man it's one of 4 Orion, fosgate, kicker, or alpine, I had them all ,my first subs were actually used fosgate 12s with dust covers coming off, traded them for a nice set of kicker 10s and I have used kicker subs ever since.

Fosgate will rock your world in a small package.

Or at that point is that just overkill. All of the components have crossovers and including the stereo. Dual 4 gauge power and grounds to cap and amps good monster rca’s cables. I’m in the sql family so I’m not going to cry if I can’t hear hair Brussels flopping in the wind if you know what I mean. The stereo is a 4v pre-out rca’s. Would there be a huge difference or keep my money for gas!

I’ve ran Skar audio 5channel amps since they first released them....their first 5channel I believe it for it for around $160 or so on sale when they discontinued them because nobody bought them...and I’ve used it for 4years and it’s still bumping but I upgraded to their new RP 5channel. If your first starting off in car audio I would recommend starting with Skars 5channel. 60watts rms by 4 at 4ohms, 200watts rms at 4ohms, 80watts rms by 4 at 2ohms, 300rms at 2ohms, 400rms at 1ohm on the sub channel and it’s only $180.00 but that’s just my opinion.

If you want it to sound good get a good half bridge amp. They use lots of filtering for good sound. If you just want power than full bridge brazilian. If you want a bit of both kicker amps are full bridge with filtering.. I myself don't like brazilian style full bridge. Just my opinion
