Amsa giving respect to Hugs for beating him saying that “he was better.” Says a lot about amsa and how humble he is. He understands how difficult it is to play an unconventional character, and Hugo did play very well that tournament

Man, this guy fulfills the REAL Japanese Manga story arc... His first tournament he is HAVING FUN, no pressure, just enjoying the experience... And then he GROWS over time to eventually become the best

There are some mistakes in the captions such as "Salty Sweet" "Captain Crouch" and "in game" mistakes like these have a big effect because people assume official captions are correct and the hardest parts to caption are the parts that your audience needs the most help understanding. If people aren't familiar with these people and events they can look them up, but only if the captions are accurate. This will probably require a review from someone who was involved in the video or even the speaker themself, but you can reduce the leg work by having your transcriber flag more difficult sections or proper nouns. I know most of these videos are unscripted, but for your skits KZfaq lets you auto caption with a script. I hope this was useful feedback.

I like how he's always praising his opponent. I gotta say, aMSa and n0ne both had the opportunity to become pros because two teams saw the potential in them and supported them. Goes to show how important it is that someone sees the talent and invests in it.

I stopped following melee closely after the Hungrybox/Armada set at Evo back in the day (I was glad HBox won, for the record), and I come back to a scene where DK is good and AMSA IS A TOP 3 PLAYER (!!!!) this is better than I could have ever asked for lol.

@@NoctuaOlivaeI wouldn’t say DK is like… good, but usable in big tournaments as a counter pick character for sure. Characters like DK and Link have really gotten developed and actually have some pretty cool results now. Still mid tier though.

Correct me if I'm wrong but, it's called salty suite. I think they misspelled it in the video but it's possible that this specific event replaced "suite" with "sweet" as a form of word play

ya seems like whoever did the captions wasn't completely familiar with Melee history since most of the errors were melee related, Salty Suite -> Salty Sweet, Captain Crunch -> Captain Crouch, Inngenn -> in game, "that's why the Hbox becomes one of my goals" -> "that's why it works because the model was my goal", etc

This reminded me of why I got into smash. When I first started, I loved mid tiers, shroomed, axe, and of course, amsa. I downloaded the yoshi pdf from smashboards that had all the tech skill, frame data, and weird mechanics and even tried to learn yoshi. Unfortunately yoshi was just too hard so I switched off. But still, without that first push that got me interested in this community, I wouldn't be here today. So thanks amsa and gg and everyone who loves this game

I love the idea of the captions being on the screen but please if you legit *force* captions on the screen please make sure they are accurate, inngenn’s name came out to ‘in game’ in the captions, and a bunch of other silly things, I tried to turn off the captions because it was ruining the experience for me and then realized I couldn’t haha
