i've been watching your dutch food tour videos and it made me realize something. I've for the longest time thought we have absolutely no food culture at all in the Netherlands. In my mind all the good food we had was foreign. Seeing you experience dutch food culture made me realize that even though we have a lot of bland food and a lot of the food that doesn't taste bland comes from indonesian colonisation, we have more typical dutch food than i've realized. I've pretty much only been cooking asian food over the past decade because it's simply got more flavor and variety in general but i'm really starting to feel nostalgic about dutch food after watching this series. Thanks for reminding me of my own food culture. Sometimes it takes an outsider to really see what you've got on the inside.

I absolutely LOVED this whole tour!! My heritage is Dutch on my dad's side and I've always wanted to visit The Netherlands. Each dish was special, but my favorite was seeing the varieties of pancakes- so chewy and yummy looking! I would totally roll them up too 😋😋

The syrup at the pancake place was not maple syrup, but "Nederlandse suikerstroop", so sugar syrup. Really different from maple syrup
