Nice! Happy early birthday! I hope some of my tips help. The biggest thing to remember, Amtrak is easy for travel, but they’re almost always late. No matter what line you’re on.

Love the honesty in this review .. I am starting to plan a trip to Florida (from Bronx NU) and I am interested in taking Amtrak.. I will get a roomette..

I recently had an Amtrak bedroom on my overnight trip from Washington DC to Chicago. I agree with everything you said in the video. The attendant in the Sleeper Car was extremely nice. I booked the bedroom at one price then, when I saw that Amtrak had lowered the price, I called customer service and they honored the lower price; I was given a little refund. The sofa, when converted into a bed, is not quite the size of a double bed but larger than a single bed. I would add one other piece of news - the walls do not make your room soundproof. During my trip I heard most of what the passengers in the adjoining bedroom were saying. Luckily they were silent during normal sleeping hours.

That’s a great point about the soundproofing. The room next to mine was empty, so the crew was taking their breaks in it. I could hear them on the phone, watching videos, and their bathroom breaks.

Thanks! Helpful video! We're planning Raleigh to NYC in a couple of weeks. Went in 2013 when they still had chef service and it was wonderful. I sure wish they would bring it back. Looking forward to the Moynihan station/lounge - looks amazing!

What was your favorite meal on this train. How many hours of uninterrupted sleep did you get on this train

If I had to pick one, it’s the first meal, the pasta & meatballs. Everything tasted better than it looked. But, as you saw I love the Amtrak cheeseburgers! As for sleep, I probably got 2 hours straight at most. I kept waking up almost once an hour as the train would slow down or hit a little bump, but I did fall right back to sleep.
