Amtrak's Phase VII P42DC 174 in Action

Presented in 4K - Various shots of Amtrak P42DC #174 in Northern Virginia in early February 2024. Unit 174 is noted as being the first P42DC to wear the new Phase VII (7) paint scheme. Repainted and released from Amtrak's Beech Grove, Indiana shops in late January of 2024, this unit has been hopping around the various Northeast Regional services south of Washington DC as of late.
A very sharp, fresh looking unit and paint scheme, in my opinion. We'll see how well it holds up after due time.

The P42s rock Phase 7 really well, will be nice to see them running along side the ALC-42s in this paint.

The first videos of the P42 are beautiful. That paint scheme is amazing and I cant believe Amtrak sports it.

Once more P42s are painted into Phase 7, I bet that both ALC42 and P42 will be able to get along better since they’ll both be wearing the same paint

It's been years since Amtrak has made a major paint change lol. Sure there was Phase VI but let's be real that didn't last very long
