Amtrak trains in San Juan Capistrano with NICE K5LA ACTION (January 11th, 2013)

Del Obispo Street & Oso Road
Friday January 11th, 2013
Train #1 - Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #777 passing through Del Obispo St. with cabcar #6904 leading with a good K5LA BLAST, and F59PHI #457 trailing.
Train #2 - Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #774 also passing through Del Obispo St. with F59PHI #463 leading with a very decent K5LA.
Train #3 - Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #579 once again passing through Del Obispo St. with a LOUD K5LA, and F59PHI #454 following.
Train #4 - Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #580 FLYING through Oso Rd. with P42 #6 leading the way with it's solid horn.
Train #5 - Amtrak Pacific Surfliner #583 passing through Oso Rd. with cabcar #6951 leading with a decent K5LA, and P42 #91, and Dash 8 #507 trailing !!!
Note: The screws on my tripod were pretty lose on this day while shooting. I tightened them as soon as i got home. So sorry for any shaky camera work from the loose tripod.

My favorite F59 is 461. Glad you got to see 457 same location within 10 days. What time did you catch 457 anyway

The horns on the cab cars are almost ear level on the surfliners. ouch!

Southbound Amtrak 774 with 463 sounding out its new E-Bell was annoying, bad consist on Southbound Amtrak 580 with P42DC 6 and Cabcar 6952, and a weird consist on Northbound Amtrak 583! But GREAT VIDEO!

What was the Dash 8 doing pushing the train short-hood forward? Did the P42 break down?

+BSNF1995 yeah the P42 probably broke down and they needed a rescue engine so that the people that were on the train could get to where they all needed to go, that's all :)
