I could see this. Growing up in central Florida I had plenty of friends that gotten jobs at Universal and one at Disney. Very close knit friend groups in there and it is true, they were at the park messing around with other staff on many of their days off.

Overconfident? Who’s acting overconfident? Certainly not him. He’s doing an amazing job!! That’s not overconfidence. That’s training and practice and dedication. I see joy, too. I don’t see any arrogance either.

It's actually quite traditional for Polynesians in a audience to stand and do the dance being performed . I was raised in a town full of different pacific island ethnicities, we learnt in schools the different cultures languages. So diverse it's beautiful.

Any islander from the Pacific know how to dance... even the Motuans from PNG can dance like that. It's the beat and rhythm of the drums that matter.

@@tinaismamama, it’s not a skit. I go to the Downtown Disney shopping district two or three times a week for dining and shopping. I would see the dance performers from beginning to end. Never saw an audience member perform quite like this. - The Disneyland Neighbor

There was a time in the polynesian culture where women were not allowed to dance hula.

Hula Kahiko was forbidden by Christian priests coming from the US to Hawa'i in the 19th century.

The instruments and dancing style is from the Cook Islands, namely from the islands of the northern group of Manihiki and Rakahanga aka Te Fuinga O Niva. I'm from Manihiki and we're the only Pacific Islanders who use the cabin bread tin. My Uncle, Ngarima George taught and danced in Tahiti for years and that's how Tahitian dancing groups began using the cabin bread tins and using Manihikian dance moves. We, Manihikians, can spot our dance moves as they are unique to us.

He was displaying the cultural pride of Pacific Islanders. Polynesian, Micronesian, Melanisian, and Aboriginals. Our ancestral history, cultural heritage is passed down orally in storytelling. In songs and chants. Through dance like hula and haka. As it has been for thousands of years. So for you to say that he's arrogant for proudly sharing his cultural upbringing is erroneous and offensive. If you haven't already noticed. Via the other comments. I suggest do some research and gain an understanding on your future post.
