Crowd reaction of the winners of the AMV contest they had at Anime Revolution 2018.
One for best composition, and one for got me pumped.

It was my favorite two. In the two years since I saw this AMV and fell in love with AMVs I have found only 2 that have had that same feeling 1) Warriors Demon Slayer and 2) Fight Violent Evergarden

People Cheered when they saw anime they knew/liked, so ofc the 'crowd' cheered for anime that most people saw.

if I was there I would've cheered for that half-second shot of Made in Abyss, I love that editor for the Greatest Show put in animes that are little underatted such as "Orange" "Gangsta" and "Tsuki ga kirei"

notice how for the 1st AMV they barley make any sound but for the 2nd AMV they're all yelling also at 7:29 i would've done One Piece , Naruto , bleach and fairy tail in order because you know....The Greatest Shows.....and then the rest of the time ( 1 minute) random animes

Is it just me or did i find the first winner kind of. odd? I dunno. I had no idea what the amv was about considering it won best composition. Can anyone tune me into the story??

AMV's are very free form and are works of art on their own, they don't need necessarily have to tell a direct story or even stay true to their source material. In the case of this particular AMV my take on it is that it focuses on the more serious and darker nature of Evangelion, focusing on the more traumatizing events to invoke a more psychological emotion. Hope that helps
