I think I watched an old WoT chieftain video years ago on the AMX-50 Foch. I don't think it had an auto loader, but it definitely had an assisted loader. Re-load is definitely way too long, even with an ace crew.

think theres was plans in the early stage to mount a auto loader but nothing came about. as for an assisted loader it think that would be a nerf in warthunder. seeing all that would bring is a glorified ready rack. without the ability to keep firing once its empty.

I enjoyed the French tech tree very much. The autoloaders are great fun because if you miss a weakspot with the first shot you usually reload quick enough to kill the tank with your second shot before he is able to realize who shot him and before he can aim at you. The only downside of the French tech tree is the lack of stabilized cannons so you will not shoot precisely on the move, but as I already said you usually have another shot oportunity thanks to the autoloader to correct your aim.

i love the french tech tree particularly the 2c like once i unlocked the 2c i started to really have fun now im at the amx but i still play the 2c as a reserve lol.

If if got its historical gunners optic rather than the BS 1.9x -3.5x it has now and had an actual historical reload then it would be worthy of 7.3 maybe 7.7.. It should have an assisted loading device which allowed for 5-6 RPM and the gunners optic on the prototype was taken from an AMX 50 100 but was planned to use a 8x-15x optic although this optic was never actually produced. The sole purpose of the vehicle was to be a near frontally impenetrable mobile gun that could assist forward advancing AMX 50 100s by engaging targets out to ranges above 2km

I love the french tech tree, the problem is that gaijin doesn't, a lot of interesting vehicles Locked behind a pay wall, and standard vehicles being very up tiered with a nasty repair cost.

I wonder why they didn't just mount the 15mm on top of the rangefinder/sight, or centerline the optic and mount the 15mm on top

The range finder sits where the commander is and the loader operates the 15mm. Realistically you wouldn’t be able to practically mount the MG into the range finder and you cant center mount either because the gun breech is in the way

sorry but i disagree. french tree might have diversity, but only the shape is diferent. the tanks are the same, and one common trait is NO ARMOR. autoloaders compensate for it, but only if u snipe or get the first shot. overal, my experience with that tree is pure pain and sl deficit

Yo Tankenstein, I have a suggestion though it isn't a very positive one. Wanna talk about the absolute shitshow that is the Marketplace? Some really rare stuff is dropping from the lootboxes and I've certain proof that the Marketplace is controlled by people with way too much money. Case in point there were over 30 T18E2 being sold at 350+ bucks, now it's back to 6, same for the Excelsior and the Iron Duke. The Iron Duke being a copy paste Comet at this point has no business being 75+ bucks. Gaijin should implement a hard cap on how expensive certain stuff should get and/or just make some of these vehicles available much more often.

@@maximilianmustermann1278 in a way but nit really, the tortoise has to many bigger weak spots, slow, and the neutral travers is trash whiles the Foch can do better than the tortoise the side can be over match, and there alot of heat round that can go through both

@@WhiteRhino27200, more like a Gaijin issue. When 100mm solid shot bounces off the side of a light tank, that ain’t me. That’s Gaijin. When I shoot the same tank 5 times and get a crit with every shot, breaking the breach and barrel and killing the entire turret crew, but he still gets to shoot me and kill me with 1 shot while still AFU, that ain’t me. That ain’t skill. That’s Gaijin cheating.
