I met Amy Grant at her farm. She hosted a Veterans' PTSD songwriting therapy event. She is beautiful inside and out. One of the most meek, caring, and genuine people. That I have ever met. She has turned her farm into a place of healing for people from all over. On the last day of the event. Vince was coming back into town from playing on the road. Amy was absolutely glowing. What you hear in that song is real.

It is so hard when you have loved someone for so long to lose them. But you've had love, some people never do! I know it is small comfort when you are alone and want to hug them, talk to them, etc. 59 years is a long time to have love, you are very lucky, but no matter how long you were together it would never be enough! I remember all our good times and smile, and sometimes cry, but God gives and takes away, and to each is given a certain amount of time on the earth.
