Miranda Blair She was only twelve when that happened, but, to be fair, Jo was treating her very poorly. Obviously, that doesn’t excuse what she did, but a lot of people treat Jo as if she’s perfect, which really bothers me, considering how she treats Amy.

Rita Sousa It wasn’t just in this scene, throughout the course of the book/movie, Jo is mean to Amy. Sure, she may be a little annoying at first, but she’s twelve. Jo had no right to treat her the way that she did.

My little sister is 12 and she would never in a million years do something like that to me. Amy acts less like a middle schooler and more like a kindergartner

If you read again the book you can totally see how sometimes the writers really demonized Amy’s words that weren’t that bad like and the worst part was that sometimes those same words were said by another characters like Meg and the writer didn’t present it as a bad thing. Burning someone's Novel is soooooo bad though. I don't think people understand unless you're creative yourself. I'd never seen the story before when I watched this film, and I literally had my stomach sink like someone had died or something and felt like I was going to cry. That is how bad it is when a creative person loses one of their work's and I wouldn't have forgiven her for a very, very long time. She got off so easy in this

In the film Big Eyes the artist claimed when the guy was taking credit for her work, it was like losing a child, and honestly I didn't feel she was overexaggerating at all. That is how precious an artist's work can be to some creators, I think it something you're either gonna get or you're not. But the only way I could ever give someone for that would be the unconditional love of relation. And even then I'd find it hard to forget, and Jo is completely entitled still hold that grudge against her at times Amy didn't burn a Barbie or a dress. She burnt the blood, sweat and tears that Jo put into that book. She burnt a part of Jo's passion and livelihood. She burnt A PIECE of Jo. She burnt hours and hours and late nights and early mornings of Jo's time. She burnt something that could have completely changed and shaped Jo's future. She burnt something with all of a girl's heart, soul and fire poured into it. She burnt original ideas and concepts that could only come out with true authenticity at a certain moment in time. She burnt Jo's overcoming's of mistakes and obstacles, perseverance and grit and determination that it takes to write a book. in fact, the book says so. Laurie ends up in love with Amy and loves Jo like a sister. Laurie himself explains that one way or another, he would always end up staying with Amy, and thanks Jo, just as Jo is very happy to see that Laurie found the woman who was meant for him.
