Martin Short's hilarious. They selected him to interview her so there could be some back and forth, it isn't meant to just be him asking a question and then Amy replying.

OK actually it's an interview about HER book, so it kinda is supposed to be him asking questions and her answering, he's just supposed to be able to make it more like a conversation. Which he fails at. Because he's unintelligible.

briemillman They have plenty of exchanges, and are laughing throughout. I don't particularly understand what you're talking about as far as Short being unintelligible. This isn't meant to be a 60 minutes-style interview, or a press junket for a movie. The best part of this is that it isn't somebody reading a series of contrived questions one after another. Could you really sit through one hour of Short asking a question, Amy replying, Short saying nothing in response and then moving on to his next question?

My issue is that no one ends up saying anything because he's as good a conversationalist as a blazed chimpanzee. Good convo for them but why bother recording it?

This seems to be something similar to comedians in cars getting coffee. It's meant to be two funny people just being funny. Not necessarily for everyone though.
