The entire Pond family are my favorite companions ever. They all had such wonderful chemistry on screen together, with Matt Smith. It was gut wrenching seeing them leave, and the 11th Doctor seeing Amy right before he regenerated hit me right in my Doctor Who loving soul.

Amy's character development still blows me away to this day. I'll admit she was not my favorite when I first watched Eleven's seasons, but I've grown to love her so much. The young girl who ran away the night before her wedding with her raggedy man, stubborn and strong yet secretly a softy herself, grew into a woman who stood fiercely by her loved ones to the end. Love and miss her and Rory so much

11 & The Ponds were my introduction into DW and I was mesmerized by the magic of their seasons and chemistry. A TARDIS team truly missed.

@@bookcollector538 it was not my intention. i know alot of people who love matt smith haven't seen the tennant period thats why i told him i hoped he had seen it. During this time no one told me why period smith was better than tennant. if you mean your opinion....

Forever my favourite companion along with Rory. I miss this tardis team so much. Karen Gillan is the most amazing actress, I love her so much. Hoping Amy can come back somehow in the 60th anniversary

9:00 Right when he finishes his speech and saying the Tardis could sustain the paradox, you can SEE in his expression that he's lying. Of course, it's a one-way video, so Future Amy doesn't see that. But you can see it in his face. He's clearly lying. Man, that's good acting. I've watched this episode several times over the years and I only just now picked up on this.

Amy Pond is favourite Who companion.I am a huge fan of Karen Gillan. I was really heartbroken when Karen Gillan left the series and I broke down crying at the end of The Angels Take Manhattan. In 2015, I met Karen Gillan.

When I first read about the new Doctor band his companion Amy. Both actors seemed so young in comparison to previous Doctors and companions. Before the 11th was even half way through, I knew they were both absolutely perfect... I really do miss Amy and Rory so much. I loved their relationship with the Doctor and their daughter Melody aka River. Their departure really bkade me cry. It was the end of a fantastic era.

9:15 The TARDIS actually *could* sustain the paradox, though the Doctor would have to convert it into a paradox machine, which he would of course never do (it's akin to lobotomising it).

The matt smith amy pond era might go down as peak doctor who. Even over John Pertwee/Tom Baker. It was just a perfect storm of talent and momentum. Every line every beat every setting every performance was just perfect. The show has really gone downhill rapidly since. "That akward moment when you're shot by your wife, in front of your wife, who tries to kill your wife and your best friend is there pregnant with your wife (while drinking alcohol)"
