Amy had help, she had money, she had supporters, stop romanticizing this woman. She is no different than other addicts, who need help. Amy Winehouse was much more privileged than most, she had talent, money, supporters, and yet she couldn't overcome her addiction. The issue here is addiction, pure and simple. Amy is no different than anyone else, and so why do people try to romanticize her and say "poor Amy", when she actually had much more support than most addicts do?

Indeed! Extorted and enabled her addictions. I blame her father more than anyone because as the "man of the house" he should have been the protector of the homestead. Amy was not born like this, she was allowed to be made like this.

@@darleneelliott1457 anytime I hear her voice I feel heartbroken. She said something people wanted to hear and had an amazing voice. So many of us destroy the things we love most. We are blessed to have the music she made and I hope we get someone like her again in my lifetime but people like her are very rare. I find some happiness knowing she is no longer battling depression and addiction but selfishly wish we had her for more beautiful music.

Amy had lots of help available to her, but she refused to accept it. Let's be real here folks. Amy was no different than anyone one who has addiction issues. I'm tired of hearing people romanticize her. Amy had more opportunities than most people, she had money, she had support, she had alternatives. Most people who have this illness, most who have addiction issues, they're not even close to what Amy had that was offered to her. So stop romanticizing her, stop thinking that nobody could help her. Amy was no different than other people with the same problems. Other than the fact that she was much more privileged and she had much more going for her than the average joe.

@@LRyan-li9wreveryone was using her for the money. Literally her song rehab, she didn’t want to go because she was being brainwashed to think she was okay by her delusional father. Yes addiction is part choice but as someone who is close to an addict it’s also a dependence. Some can’t function or feel normal until they do what they do. Not saying being an addict is a good thing or should be normalized. But you need to realize that she was being forced into these things by her management team. Her old one would’ve stopped everything until she was okay. (I’ve read up on everything so don’t worry)

Lord yes i know i would of screamed yelled at zalon the band the promotors if i was in the front she would of been off that stage and in an ambulance!! Was everyone in the whole place numb blind and dumb! I would be feeling so guilty and ashamed my whole life had i been in the audience that night notably her last concert performance! So tragic the deepest tragedy i have been witness to in my entire life!! LOSING AMY the way we did in that short of a time is a travesty for reals just breaks my heart in two

She was the greatest artist/singer/songwriter to come along in decades. Alcoholism/addiction is a very real disease. So sad we live in a society that does not treat it as such. She'd still be alive if it did.

I believe that our society DOES in fact treat alcoholism/addiction as a real disease. There is too much sympathy going out for Amy Winehouse. She doesn't need "sympathy", that was never ever going to help her. Amy had a disease/addiction, end of story. She was fortunate enough to have a talent, unlike many many other addicts who don't have a talent. Amy Winehouse was blessed. She had the money to help her. She had family to support her. And yet she could not overcome her addictions. What does this say for all other people who suffer from this disease? What does this say for all others who didn't have her talent, her money, her support? And yet we "romaticize" Amy, when we shouldn't do this. She was no different than any other addict. Why does everyone sympathize with her so much, over all other addicts? Why does everyone try to blame others in her case? for example her father?

I'm not so sure about it. Sensitive, yes, but when l watched the documentary about her, even in her clips before she's famous, she radiates something l find very uncomfortable - aggressiveness, lack of responsibility and thoughtfulness, a kind of toxic self centeredness. People who act like that but lack talent, would simply be called jerks. Yes, her family wasn't too healthy. But there are plenty of people with worse families who grow up into much better persons.

Pobre Amy, no se como la pudieron dejar que actúe de esa manera, en ese estado. Ese era el momento de que le prestaran atención y la ayudaran a salir de su grave problema, y asi le hubieran salvado la vida y hoy en dia la tendríamos entre nosotros. To this day I haven't been able to watch more than 10 seconds of this. So incredibly sad. IMO her best live performances were when she was truly sad and had something in her system. It's unfortunate but her Bestival performance of back to black is the best live performance of all time because of how real it was.

Prekrasan glas! Izuzetna osobnost! Emotivna i duboko traumatizirana Emy! Šteta da je tako potonula i tužno završila svoju mladost. 😟 Ostale su pjesme koje i dalje podsjećaju na njenu posebnost i dokazuju da je bila posebna zvijezda na nebu. Odlaskom sa ovog, često okrutnog svijeta našla je svoj mir. 🙏🥰

Эмми и сама не думала, что так рано уйдёт ...Она полюбила не того человека , который просто подсадил её на наркотики и без конца делал ей больно ...а потом на десерт женился на другой ... В 27 лет добиться такой любви и славы это дорогого стоит...Она всю себя посвятила другим...Она боролась до конца..

Why the hell did her team not get her off that damn stage! This is just heartbreaking! And the ppl that were booing should be ashamed of themeselves!
