George Michael said that this ballad revealed the true genius in Amy's writing ability, for he feels it is the best he has ever come across. So good is it, that he would perform it regularly in his concerts. Adele had a song called 'Love Is A Game', using this as the genesis for it, but as good as that song was, it couldn't match the profound lyrical content that fills Amy's song.

🤎😃 Thanks for reacting to this, Paul. Very autobiographical in Amy's case. One of the main things, perhaps the main thing, that Amy wanted in her life is what you, and others, have by way of a loving and fulfilling relationship. But she never found it. The thing that I appreciate about her performance of this song is not just her soulful voice and her poetry but how haunting the song is knowing what ultimately happened with her. God bless. And, rest in peace Amy.
