She's not just one of the best singers that ever lived, she's also an amazing person who stayed true to herself and fought for real music in an absurdly superficial industry. Love you amy and miss you, we will never ever let you die, you live on in my mind and my ears, and in millions of others, for the rest of human history.

She refused autotuning and never mimed. She had natural raw talent. Amy never sang a song the same way as the original, which is why she was so sensational.

Her Mum, Janis, was shocked to hear her accent when she first heard her interview with Jonathan Ross. Any was well spoken, like her brother. She just wanted to hide her accent and that she was clever. She used to do calculus and triple intregals with her Mum when she was at primary school. Janis is clever with two degrees. I went to Amy's exhibition at the Jewish Museum in 2013 and was amused that she hid her classic novels and replaced them with Jackie Collins novels. She also hid her sodoku puzzles which she did easily. It is no surprise that she was a great songwriter and lyricist." Frank" was one of the greatest albums ever. I want to remember her before the drugs and Blake. She did not want to be famous. It is tragic what happened to this beautiful young woman, who was so kind hearted and extremely generous. She was a prodigy who had a great gift for songwriting and had one of the greatest voices.

Totally agree. She was so much more beautiful in the Frank era than the Back To Black era. Wasn't digging the skinny, fake tits and covered in tats look.

Happy birthday Amy 27 years you lived in this world and I’m so grateful I existed at the same time as you. Thank you so much for all the music and humor and interviews and showcasing what it truly meant to be human in a world where one is not really supposed to express and attempt to deal with their genuine pain or their happiness alike.

@@ArchKnight28 That is true. Some great artists thrive under pressure, but others cannot handle it and retire from performing. Amy did not want the fame. It overwhelmed her when her second album went global.

Very interesting, intelligent personality. Like all tragic artists, she was not of our time, there was no place for her in this world. She was too talented for this cut-throat, fast paced society we live in where everything is about out with the old, in with the new. What you see here is a genuine, beautiful woman who's passionate about her career as an artist. It's truly tragic what drugs did to her, and as she even admitted herself, she knew she was self-destructive. The light burned too bright, too fast.
