WAWAWEEWAAA This was such an awesome experience - even if you aren't a big LOTR fan! We booked the evening banquet tour of the hobbiton movie set and we got so lucky with the weather - not a cloud in the sky and Hobbiton in golden hour was SOMETHING ELSE.
They did make us wait for our dinner but when it came, it was absolutely incredible! The banquet was MASSIVE, there was so much food to go round, I only wish we'd taken some tuppaware for a goody bag or two...!
If you go to New Zealand in 2023 you MUST go on an adventure to Hobbiton, it's a must. And if you can manage to get tickets for the banquet, even better!

Thanks for taking us with you on your adventure! The banquet is the perfect way to celebrate such a warm, homely place. Keep showing us more food! Fun fact: in the film, hobbits have authentic Gloucestershire accents. I think hobbiton itself resembles bits of cotswold villages.

Hello ! We are going to do the evening banquet tour next february, how long is the evening walk with lanterns ? I see this is guided tour aswell so I'd like to know if we have time to chill around hobbiton freely and take our time to do pictures and stuff 🙂
