I think the Rockerverb has a little better high end, but with that price different holy shit am I impressed with the Super Crush

I'm not sure I could have heard the difference between the Rockerverb and the Super Crush 100 if I had my eyes closed. MASSIVE tones. Great demo. Probably one of my favorite tracks you've done so far. You know, I'm liking these companies making these upmarket solid-state amps, lot of untapped potential just because of market expectations (tube=good, SS=bad, etc.)

The sound of an Orange amp has always been one of my favorites this definitely seems worth the purchase

Love Orange. The rockerverb just has an overall clarity. The supercrush however is REALLY close.

I think you just sold a ton of Super Crush and Rockerverb amps. Great demo! I love my Rockerverb MKIII and that Super Crush gets the sound for a lot less.

This is solid state done right. To my ears the JFET’s used can really do the tones everyone loves vacuum tubes for.

Holy sweet baby jesus that sounds COLOSSAL. And the fact that it's catto approved seals it. It stacks up really well against the big boi, totally worth it.

Wow, I initially wasn't really sold on the idea of a Crush amp that's supposed to sound like a Rockerverb, but you really sold me on it. Finally a Rockerverb(ish) I can afford.

The Rockerverb has that tube loudness factor, which gives the tone some clarity, but the Super Crush has that JFET gain to compensate for that. Just getting a tone out of the Rockerverb would not only put your ears at risk, but your wallet as it'll cost money to replace the tubes. I like Orange Amps, because they continue to innovate their products towards the future of their motto (Voice of the World).

I'm sold. Out goes two Orange amp to make way for this one. Love what Orange has done to the preamp section. It SMOKES! Had a fleeting thought of waiting for these to become available on the used market, but who am I kidding? Nobody in their right mind will be selling theirs soon. If they did, I expect the price to be very close to new anyway.

Listening without looking at the screen with good headphones on, I could barely tell the difference. And certainly couldn't tell which Amp was which when blind. Love it

I just picked up my first Orange amp this passed Saturday. Orange Rockerverb 100 mkll. And I'm blown away by the quality and tone of this monster of an amp. Time to hit the gym now that I own an Orange they are stupidly heavy .

$500 vs $2350 and you probably couldn't tell the difference if not comparing them side by side... Holy fuck, Idk what Sorcery Orange pulled but I'm happy they did because I have an idea as to what Me is getting Me for Christmas this year lol XD

I keep coming back to this video even a year later because you give this amp the demo it deserves. For it being less than 600$ for a Orange head…that alone is insane. But it does have a very similar sound and feel to the Rockerverb. You can tell that the Rockerverb has a lot more low end and bass than the SuperCrush, however I bet with the right overdrive/distortion pedal…you can get pretty damn close to that true tube tone. Your demo of it has inclined me to purchase the super crush and give it a try.

I loved Orange the first time I saw then heard one. 15years later I finally bought a GRO50 it drown out Marshall 50s and some 100s. It wasn't high gain but it sounded great at any volume.

Cool video. I've been interested in these. At the end you said something I've always felt with solid state, "the response isn't the same as the rockerverb." I've always been a snob about tubes because they just "feel" easier to play.

Thankyou for this video I've just taken delivery of the super crush 100 head and it's fantastic coming from using a peavey 6505+ the super crush just sounds great especially when coupled with my Jim Root jazzmaster v4 but also I went for the super crush as I just couldn't justify spending out on the rockerverb mk3 head, overall I'm really impressed by the super crush you kind of forget it's a solid state head.

I fell in love with Orange after listening to Slipknot constantly for a bit. I also love the looks 😍. One day… one day. ALSO… Love the short but melodic solo! Fit perfectly! 😎👌

At 1/4 the price, the OSC100 expands the customer base exponentially. Most casual players will not drop 2k for a tube amp head. My question is regarding reliability difference. If dropped repeatedly from 5 feet, which amp will fail first? Amps can fall of buses, stages, down stairs.

I'm loving hearing slipknot-ish riffs in the cutaway clips. This is one of the few metal focused demos i've found for this amp and Slipknot is one of my favorite bands.

Holy hell this thing sounds awesome and that price tag is unfuckinreal. Your demo track kicks ass today too, well done. Have you ever thought about doing a Two Notes tutorial for your setup? I reckon there's a lot of us out there that also live in city apartments but still want to use our amp heads!

You very well may have convinced me to pick one of these up. Lately I've been pluggin in a gained-out Beetronics Overhive in to my 5150 Stealth to mimic the "Orange" sound by adding some mid-presence and fizz, but this may just end up being the better solition.

Beautiful color on that PRS! I am thinking about picking this head up with the 2x12 Celestion cab. I have a Fender Hot Rod Deville III 4x10 and an Orange Crush 35Rt. I have absolutely fallen in love with the sound of the Orange and my pedal board vs my Fender and its 1/4 the size! I have come to the personal conclusion that solid state is the way to go.

Love that you threw through glass in there haha, awesome review, comparison, can definitely hear the difference in isolation but in a mix it’s so dangerously close for that price, I’m sure it could be dialled in to get closer with hours and hours of painstaking splitting of hairs but I see no point when the sound being produced is great 😊

Great video man thanks for doing this demo. Sounds killer definitely getting one. Sold my older CR 120 a few years back. So I noticed on the back it says it was made in Korea I wonder if they’re making some of their amps there now that would be great if they are.

The distortion tones are super similar with the rockerverb seeming to have more clarity, but the clean tone was definitely way better on the rockerverb to me.

The Super Crush is freaking awesome so I'm gonna get a Rockerverb! Lol been looking at Helix etc I think I'm gonna shift to a good load box/ attenuator option.

The only truly noticeable difference between the two for me was during Serenity. My old Peavey amp died a couple of weeks ago, and every video I watch is pushing me closer to getting this as a replacement, and you using metal to demonstrate it just makes me like it more

That Super Crush sounds brutal in the best way possible. I love it. Yes, there are differences, but for the price point the Super Crush feels like a no-brainer.

Its like they removed all the frequencies that made the CR120 sound solid sate/boxy but kept the same epic vibe and this sounds so good. I want one!

Bought myself a CR120 last year. Very similar to this amp. I'll never waste my time on tube amps again. It's a brilliant amp. Crazy loud and punchy as hell.

Finally got my Super Crush and I am so happy I chose this head. It's opened so many doors for my playing.

My very first amp was the Orange Crush 35rt Combo. Still have it and it’s still awesome. This demo shows that SS amps are pretty damn nice, especially on the wallet.

I like 👍 and Matt Pike is my favorite guitarist! Saw high on fire years ago, the show was on 🔥 j-fets are field effect transistors, signals behave similarly to how they would in tubes. I’m impressed how you got sweet metal tones with this amp.

I’m not the biggest orange fan, I love my OR15 though. However, if I was to pick which one I would get between the 2, I’m gonna be honest, I’m still gonna go with the rockerverb, if I can get it for a solid price on reverb. I like the cleans of it so much more

And although I only use DSPs, I always wanted a big ol amp and even though it'll probably not even fit my playing that well, I always had a soft spot for the Orange amps, they just look the part and sound perfect on big nasty riffs... Some day I'll maybe get one. Also on a sidenote, since I'm not too familiar with solid states: Tubes get their drive sound when you turn them up, but if I recall rightly, sollid state doesnt; so the question is if this one does sound good turned a little down? Or am I just talking giant bogus rn? idk Awesome vid man!
