It's always a wonderful feeling to get something new, but how do you justify it on a farm? We had a few reasons to upgrade tractors, hopefully we made the right decision...

I don't question the Lord's will, I just make sure that it gets done 😁 we got really lucky it's a really good tractor and honestly we have really considered moving to an 8000 series for a few years now. They are not getting easier to find either

@@FreedomFarmsMo He doesn't work in luck Brother, but obedience. This brings an honest parable the Lord gave me one day while I wasn't "lucky" in anything...remind me to tell you this one day. 😉

I could have used that parable last hay season, and during bush hogging season too...maybe you should just tell me now so I have it on hand for the next stressful time

@@FreedomFarmsMo a lonely tree is one hillside, wondering why it's there, it asks God, He says "I'm not done with you yet." One summer day, a cow finds shade on hillside with the tree, and scratches it's neck on the lonely tree,..it finds purpose. And The Lord said "I'm not done with you yet.".. On another day a storm strikes the tree down, it found death and resentment. He said "I'm not done with you yet."... That tree was buried for a time, then finds itself awakened again from a uneasy rumbling around it..Angry, full of wrath and reason of why, it cries "For you used me and struck me down,...for what??? To awaken me now Oh Lord!?? He said, "I'm not done with you yet" This wise tree continued to prophane His name and glory, and He still said "I'm not done with you yet!" After going through a refining and time of shedding the sludge...the tree heard a beautiful voice saying "I love you forever!"...and the tree realized through all these seasons, sessions, and emotions of what took place..He was refined to the diamond God chose him to be..and He said "Now You are done, good and faithful servant."... Brother, it hits. ♥️🇺🇲♥️

I'm pretty sure Persian orange is the only option for tractors I don't think they make anything else...😂 You'll get to see it do a little bit of work next video

@@FreedomFarmsMo You’ll have to go D Series or older if you want Persian Orange. Which by the way a D Series would look great on your farm. I think they were some of the best looking tractors ever produced.

Oh I didn't realize it was a different orange. I know they started out with a full shade of green before going to Persian orange. I just read about corporate orange😂 I would like to have another 190xt diesel or a D19 diesel. It would be good for raking and brush hogging.

I got to drive a 8070 years ago on the farm I loved it great tractor it had the powershift tranny we used it for discing and on the grain cart I spent several hours in the seat thanks for sharing buddy

I would have loved to found an 8070! I would have loved to run one under tillage and grain cart work too. You are a lucky man my friend

I heard you were talking about fiberglass work done on the Tractor grill those grills are still available through parts through the AGCO tractor company they’re kind of spend he but they come painted it’s like 800 for the fiberglass grill part and 400 for the steel screen mesh well worth it though I don’t think they’ll be available for too much longer anyway just thought I’d let you know

I didn't know agco was still selling them. We actually have the old grill and just need to take it to the local body shop and they can fix it for us. Sure do love these Allis tractors though!

It is after they get me unstuck but during the process it's not always so funny. Are 7045 weighs so much that the other tractors that are around that are 4x4 weigh half or less so it's always sketchy whether or not they'll be able to get me out.

Keep on telling about the need to go to church, if more people would seek God the world would be a better place! Great looking tractor! I remember going to the dealership when they were new and seeing the 8000 and 7000 series. I wish that I would have had a chance to operate one, They were just to big for our farm. I do love our 5050 though bought new in 1981 and only has 1800 hours on it. Thank you for your service and showing us your farm, I miss those days.

I agree, it would make the world a better place. I would have loved to see these tractors when they were brand new! They are fun to operate and really nice to operate. Thanks for being an American worth fighting for, and make sure you stick around to watch our farm progress and grow!

I figured I couldn't be the only one! How long you got left til retirement? I've got 5 years left, trying to set us up so the farm will make up for the income loss at retirement.

@@FreedomFarmsMo got 10 left trying to stay at Fort Campbell as long as I can. Complications came up with health so now it’s unclear. 12B life lol. Still expanding farm ground and running some old Oliver tractors and various hay equipment. I’ll say this, hard to farm as a PSG. Lol

I was at 11 years in the army when we started our farm. And I chose to start it as a drill sergeant 🤦‍♂️.... It was worth it though the hard work and incredibly long days paid off, plus my wife helped and pitched in alot to make it work. I am trying to stay at Fort Leonard wood for the rest of my career but you know how that goes the army can't stand a soldier getting what they want 😂 we raise sheep, chickens, make our own hay, and do custom hay. When I retire we will do more custom work as well.

That’s rough man. I know what it’s like trying to plan around the Army. I’ve lost my fair share of hay because of last minute tasks. I make small squares for our horses and sell the rest plus broker for other people to help empty their barns for next year. I buy, fix and sell implements on the side. Diversity is key for us because we don’t farm a lot of ground. I do like the new Allis though anything agco related is awesome. Plus allis chalmers has a pretty good story to them . Talk about diversified.

I agree, this is the first piece of equipment we have bought that wasn't in need of repair but the price was right. All of our other equipment needed repairs but we got it all for ridiculously cheap prices. A little time invested and minimal parts and they are all functional and earning their keep in our operation. I haven't lost any hay yet but we have amazing neighbors that step in and help when we need it. We also built our own livestock barn and shop building. Check out some of our previous videos, we literally built this farm with our own hands and some helpful neighbors. I am an Allis Chalmers guy only. They made their tractors here in the USA with USA made parts. Until duetz got their name they were doing amazing. Unfortunately all the diversity of their company couldn't save them from the farm markets in the 80's. That is a good way to diversify your farm though and keep things going.

It's truly an amazing tractor especially for how far ahead of its time it was with the cab. I think I have an addiction to Orange tractors.... That have the Allis Chalmers name on them 😁

Keep the front weights you might need them some day . They add value to the tractor.

Yea, I don't think we will sell them like we did with the 7045. You are right they ad value and are easily removed or added as needed

Change the oil in the front axle

Way ahead of ya. We checked it and it was pretty clean, we checked the hubs too and already greased her all up as well. I know the front axles are expensive if something fails.

You will hate trying to pick up the skid steer attachment due to visibility. The euro attach is easier to see the hooks. Most of the Allis that don’t start well are neglected. Wore out pump and injectors, low compression….if you are leaving the loader on ditch the weights. You are destroying your pins and thrust bearings on the knuckles.

Visibility isnt good on any tractor when trying to hook up loader attachments, the skid steer quick connect works on both my skid steer and my tractor which makes the attachments universal such as the grapple, Bale spikes, tree shear etc. It would be way more costly to transition them to euro attach. Unfortunately I'm not the only one who has mentioned the cold start issues, some of which even owned a 426 from new. They simply don't like cold and nearly require a cold start aid such as ether, or glow plugs below 30*, I mentioned dropping the weights because we wanna be light as possible in the fields to minimize rutting fields but that is another valid point that it keeps unnecessary wear down

@@FreedomFarmsMo I have a loader tractor and use an adapter for some attachments and it’s terrible. The euro is easy to see.

I can understand that but that is essentially what I am gonna make for my tractor. It will still take the euro attachments too if I were to remove the adapter.

My boss had one if you take the loader off you will need the them or the front will spin a lot

Basically that is what our thought process was with the weights. We do very little tillage work so we generally don't need to be weigh down alot

I really liked the 5020 but the capability of the skid steer sure is superior.🤷‍♂️ The 8030 is our upgrade from the 7045

@@FreedomFarmsMo oh yeah. Im a loader tractor guy and on our farm we have two. One is an industrial loader tractor with the skid steer quick connection plat. I loved my NH compact i had when we started our farm but it was time to upgrade and lime you said the bigger tractor is superior.
