VScode is really great, this with radian (modern R console) is great. There are some tweaks (like enabling cmd + enter, and also multi-line send to console etc but do-able if you manage the settings) you need to do to get things working smoothly but it works great. I've replaced Rstudio except for package development, Rstudio is still killer when it comes to debugging and devtools integration etc.
