I think you should have two models one for the left and right with extendable arms that you unscrew a couple of inches then screw to lock it.

Alex, ive been a holder guy from the days of the first iPods! windshield ones, ac vent ones, dashboard ones, squeeze this, screw that... so I'm saying from experience, that is a nice holder. However, its clear that you could make an AM/FM radio sound like a new invention! you have the gift of presentation!!!! This is a nice holder

seems like a lot of torsional stress on the monitor chassis/stand with the extended holder arm if its holding an ipad.
