The Wisdom of Odin is a vlog of my journey through Norse Paganism, a way to assist others along their journey, and a place to promote a positive image for all of paganism.
While I personally declare myself as a Norse Pagan, I speak on topics that also involve aspects of Asatru, Heathenry, and other pagan identities such as Slavic/Celtic/Germanic paganism.
All gatherings are set up and managed by The Fellowship of Northern Traditions, a non-proft religious organization. This channel/community is inclusive to all but is also non-political.

I studied in bath for three years, as a student we were allowed into the museums for free and my constant visiting really kickstarted my interest in ancient history and occultism!!

Reading entrails is called haruspicy. It’s def a lost art and practice. It also entails reading bird signs in air. A group moving around and reading what their patterns dictate. There are very few of us left who actually do this.

Thanks for this video, I'm actually from bath, my folks came here from London in the 70s looking for ancient spirituality like many other hippies of the time. I also loved you're Glastonbury video, n really want to start a practice for my own home deity. There are is a hill fort many more sacred springs in and around bath many are underground now but others in the woods and churchyards that surround bath. Loved all your vids from the sacred landscape of my homeland of Wessex😊

I have noticed a few people on here who seem to want to pick on you, and are very negative. I happen to love your videos, and greatly appreciate your information. I have been pagan for 30 years, but am new to the Norse Path, after I realized that my ancestry is Norse, as well as Celt, so I have found the Norse Path completely resonates with me! The only reason I am bringing this up at all, is because it upsets me that others can be so judgmental and derisive. To me, paganism is freedom to speak your mind and to practice any way that feels 'right' to the individual. So, I never understand why others want to put anyone down. To me, that is not the Pagan way. They are of no use to me. So, thank you for sharing your travels, and info....you come across as real and honest, and I appreciate that! Your journeys are very interesting to me and I learn a lot!!

Thank you, I am glad you appreciate my videos 🍀 Sadly paganism comes with a lot of opinions, because there is so little definitive truth. That mixed with the internet age, and a fair amount of people who are not even pagan that just like to be mean. You end up with a sometimes nasty cocktail. I have been a KZfaqr for 4 years now, and I have gotten used to it. I learned long ago to make content for people that enjoy what you do, not those who just want to be nasty. Summers blessings to you ☀️

Bath is not Romanesque it’s Georgian the only bits Roman left is down in the Bath spar under the pump house. The museum has got very good and clever computer graphics that blend in with the original stonework and gives a good sense of what it would have looked like in its day. There is also other great museums in the area Andover that shows the transition from Stone Age, Bronze-age, Roman and Saxon. The other one is in Cirencester which still has some buildings with Roman stones still in them.

No not Roman but classical which is the enlightenment Georgians reimagining of Greco Roman culture. Their idea of conservation building on top would not be allowed now. But they also built brand new in that style ie the circus temple of the sun and the royal crescent temple of the moon

I was in Bath 8 years ago (I can't believe it's that long, it feels like yesterday!). I'm absolutely smitten with the place and desperate to go back. it really is magical - I'm not surprised that you connected with the healing Goddess 💖💦 Thank you so much for sharing this video and your experiences there. ☺️

Video looks great on the TV! I feel like the man with the beard and hair was Jupiter, Romans put that deity on everything! Was recently looking into another healing goddess of springs, Sirona, so it's neat to see another. Especially the curses love that they found so many! I don't think spirits have boundaries and borders like we do, personally believe it's about tapping in.

love your video. That male head which was in the front of the former temple entrance could be the celtic god Grannus. He is connected to hot springs. But his "wife" is actually goddess Sirona.

Great video, spent a lot of time in Bath working, lovely place and architecture - did the tour and tried the waters. Amazing has all been there so long and all that history. Seem to remember the water as being quite an unusual taste so must be good for you 😂 it is always packed with tourists all year round but a good place to reconnect with the past.

The face on the wall looks like Lord Dis. Or in the Roman name Dis Pater. A Greco Roman version of Hades. Originated in Anatolia in the Neolithic era. And was the primary deity of the Druids.
@VoodooViking
@VoodooViking Жыл бұрын
@@jmfana9154 I believe it is. I work with Lord Dis, and he’s one of the most different deities you’ll come across. He is not into humor, very dry and primal. But in a logical, knowledgeable way. He’s into law and order, justice. Hence the deity the Druids venerated and worshipped. He will show and tell you things and demand things that are not light or easy to take. Be ready to start giving up a few things you really enjoy. And each person is different on what he demands. Also he’s very dark; he still looks upon blood and animal and pain sacrifices as a necessity. He recently stripped me of everything. Including my lover. But what he has in store will blossom 10 fold. So stay the course with him and see it full. He’s is Saturn energy in full form.

Sorry to be pedantic , but it is incorrect to pronounce the word "deity" as " diety" . The word "deity" comes from the Latin "dei" , "god" . Along with Latin deus , dea , divus and diva , Greek theos and thea , Phrygian and Thracian zios , Saxon tiw and Sanskrit deva and devi , it ultimately derives from the the Indo European root "dyeus" , "heavenly" or "shining" .
