Absolutely stunning. The most unique easel I've seen so far. It feels like this easel has traveled to quite a bit into the past, and also to the far future-to me. It has an olden natural appearance and vibes, with the wood grain texture showing and not a lot a plastic and metal, yet at the same time looks a bit alien in its shape and feels futuristic. A really cool balance. A work of art, to hold the art. I want one someday😮

Some good features, but that height adjust handle should have been at the front under the canvas - somehow. Not in the one place you can't reach it without getting up and walking round. A foot-operated lock may be best. While clearly OK for smaller canvases, I'm not sure how stable a much wider canvas would be when only held very near its centre. When trying to improve on traditional solutions, you have to be careful what important features you may be throwing away with the new design.

There are all sorts of wall systems but I think using "the cleat system" allows you to put anything on the wall (shelves, tools, other art work etc.). Andrew Tischler (NZ) has videos and he paints BIG. (And has great tips about using a dental hygienist/dentist chair and scavenging the legs from a computer chair so, you can raise and lower your palette table and roll it around +++ more.) If you buy 300x $5 coffees from Starbucks/yr you waste $1,500. (Do you brown bag it for lunch?) Do you buy electronics that become obsolete in a year? This is a work of art! But as far as the possibility of warping the frame and weakening the canvas stretch it seems a little far fetched. I let the top brace gently lay on the canvas/frame and then secure the wing nut. Never had any problems with wiggle, slippage or ending up with a flaccid canvas. Has anyone reading this ever damaged a canvas using a traditional easel?

@kcajmortsnnew14886 жыл бұрын
AND . if working on large panels , one needs to tilt the top forward to compensate ...think vanishing point toward ceiling/sky...of course , using projector and or photos to do the drawing precludes actually doing the work of drawing...and results in fake realism...but that's another subject

@cristinasujoy9 жыл бұрын
Can you tilt the canvas or is it meant to be used only in the vertical position
@DrawMixPaint9 жыл бұрын
Cristina Manole The feet can be adjusted to make the easel lean slightly forward or backward, but its designed to be primarily vertical. A vertical easel allows you to get closer to your canvas without hunching over uncomfortably, and also makes it easier to avoid glare from your studio lights, as well as protecting your wet painting from dust. If you're using pastels, you can tilt the easel forward slightly so that pastel dust doesn't fall into your canvas.
