Nice crash course! I always wondered how you managed to switch the brush size so quickly! Really hope that gets added to Aseprite as an official feature. Another option is to just hover the size box and use the scroll wheel on your mouse, but it'd still be nice to hold down a key and move your mouse.

It's always fun watching right handed people enjoy tech and devices laid out in convenience. I get to imagine for a moment what it must be like to not have to constantly switch things around/reach across something awkwardly/ put what ever was in my left hand down so I can reach over for the keyboard shortcuts before picking it back up again. Yes I will die mad on this hill, why do you ask? Unrelated complaining aside. Thanks for the tips and videos, tremendously useful stuff across this whole channel.

really helpful, ive been using aseprite every day for 2 years now, lots of hours but i still found somethings useful here, i will try to avoid the pixelperfect feature from now on. This is the best program ive ever used and i keep finding new things, for me it is almost perfect, i have just some really minor things but they told me they will improve them in the near future, like exporting animations in some video format, improving the text tool and adding the resize thing like you have (although when they introduced the pen pressure i didnt find myself resizing too much since i have a lot of sizes with just pen pressure but it would be nice to have)

I'd love to have a follow-up video to this one, showing more advanced shortcuts and workflow such as the one you use when animating : next/previous frame, play/pause, new cell/layer, rename layer and so on (if you feel like that'd be enough content to do another video about it of course). Thanks for you content anyway, it's highly appreciated ! Cheers.

Watching this video was informative and stressful; I picked up Aseprite today to see if it'd be better/faster than my old art software. The only issue is I'm left-handed, and none of these shortcuts are in convenient locations for how I draw. I usually use those shortcut buttons he discussed, but my tablet program doesn't notice that Aseprite exists. I recognize that I could change every shortcut to accommodate my situation, but A) that would take a lot of time and troubleshooting, and B) there are fewer keys on the right-hand side (the hand I'd be using for shortcuts) of the keyboard than on the left. Excellent video, though; I'm glad I found it, regardless of my issues.

2 years late, but I have an a4 wacom which is just a tad too big to really work with the keyboard comfortably and I eventually just gave up on it, sat down and learned how to program the control buttons on the tablet instead. Now I use my thumb to do most of the controls having my left hand next to it and it works really well. Mind you I'm using photoshop and doing mostly digital painting. I'm still learning pixel art using your channel and was looking into picking up Aseprite. Just in case the above helps /shrug Keep up the awesome work!
