New York City stockbroker John Taeni has spent a lifetime amassing his collection of autographs - tens of thousands of signatures from world leaders and notables of history. Why does he do it? Charles Osgood went in search of an answer in this CBS News report which originally aired September 25, 1975.

So many years ago, I posted on here yet now today I see Have Now some nearly 14000 signed items gathered from 1980 -Today. A very few One early Harry Truman gotten TTM in 1969.

A lot of through the mail autograph requests were signed by secretaries. Hopefully this is not the case here... especially with US presidents.

Earthman99999 the kennedy looked like it, however the eisenhower ect. looked A okay. The hitler looked good being on a document to another "important" german, the hancock is stunning.

i wonder if this fellow is still alive and what a collection like that is worth? its interesting that he was a wall street guy with an obsession for something on a piece of paper that was not money! hmmm

He would be around 130 years old if he was still alive.
