AN EASY WAY TO MAKE GLUE BOTTLE DANGLES
One of the very first things I made in my junk journal journey was a beaded topper for my glue bottle. As I watched KZfaq tutorial videos on making junk journals and embellishments, several of the ladies had beautiful, beaded toppers in the bottle nozzle. This was such a pretty and functional idea; I had to have one!
Originally, I went straight to Etsy to order myself a bottle topper. But then I thought, "I can make a unique one myself!" I began looking for KZfaq tutorials on this idea.
I remember watching a video by Gayle Agostinelli and Pam at the Paper Outpost. I thought, "I can make one of those!"
I set out and bought the items needed from my local thrift store. The jewelry "findings" and beads were easy to find by purchasing a discounted necklace or two and using the parts. I also had fun using my wire-wrapped paper beads. I thought it was unique and beautiful!
ITEMS NEEDED:
Sugar Belle bottle - (or any other glue bottle that will fit the pin.)
Head pin 2" long minimum - (a 2 inch eye pin could work -you just wouldn't have the pretty top-but you could use the ipen to hang it from somewhere)
Jump rings
A bit of chain
Bead glue B6000 or B7000
Beads and charms (of your liking)
Jewelry pliers
Tips:
Use a variety of beads to create a unique topper.
If you don't have a stainless steel eye pin, you can use a regular eye pin. But be sure to coat the eye pin with clear nail polish or super glue to prevent it from rusting.
If you want to add a little extra flair, you can add a charm or tassel to your topper.
Enjoy your new glue bottle topper!
