Onion creek to hideout canyon / blm 100 and onto la sal mountain is great for summer trailing there are dinosaur tracks, and you go from desert to forest to snow. I went when it was 100 degrees in desert to snow drifts covering trail when we turned around. Kids packed snow into coolers to have snowball fight in desert on way back. We saw a bear cross the trail as well in the mnts

Just did this entire route a few days ago. This video might need to be fine tuned to express the nature of the trails in their current condition: BLOWN OUT. By no means is it as easy as it’s portrayed by the person in the white jeep in this video. Baby steps is not for beginners at all. Tower arch trail has been destroyed since I was last there in ‘17. It’s a mess. If you’re reading this and are a beginner, I would not recommend this 1 day trip. You’ll never make it out of the wash at Klondike bluffs without a slight lift and 33’s

Our duration estimates are just for the drive time of the trail. For the hiking scene at 8:10 minute mark, I would say it would be minimum 30 minutes round trip to just get to the scenery. Thanks for watching!

Headed out to Moab just before Labor Day. You just added some more trails I wanna see, don't know how I'm supposed to do it all in a little over a week. Thanks a lot lol. Already have a camp site reserved in Canyonlands for a night, and have multiple other trails I wanna do. I did notice a few narrow spots like where John was spotting. Wide enough for a crew cab F250 on 35s to squeeze through?

@@Trailsoffroad Really amazing how trails can change. I was just out there before Labor Day and that first rocky ledge was more washed out and ended up making for a steeper drop. Didn't help that I had to stay further left with how big my F250 is. Also the wash out you mentioned was pretty gnarly compared to what I've seen in other videos, there were some storms that came through the area a couple nights before, so I'm guessing it was from that. And man did some of those areas along there look a lot more narrow in my F250 haha.

Hi April. The 4runner in the video was on 33's, so definitely doable without 35's. beautiful sites to see there in moab,ut. going to see archers national park myself and the family but cant travel those roads due to only having 2wd. to note one funny thing, on the video time in, 15:47 there was a sign stating ALL TYPES OF OFFROAD VEHICLES PROHIBITED THEN IT SHOWS A SIGN OF M/C OK???? SO WHAT IS A JEEP DOING THERE OFFROAD???? , its funny how the state of utah prohibites , only m/c from offroad when offroading is OFFROADING ?, GREAT VIDEO GUYS I WOULD BUY A JEEP , BUT IM 6'-8" TALL, CANT FIT. LOOKING TO BUY 4X4 IN THE NEAR FUTURE?
@Trailsoffroad

Thanks for watching! That sign is referring to off-highway vehicles, street licensed vehicles are permitted in the park on designated roads.
@JCintheBCC
@JCintheBCC 2 жыл бұрын
Off-Highway and Off-road are different categories of vehicle under the law. A "highway" in Utah law is any public road, so an "Off-Highway Vehicle" or OHV is a dirtbike or ATV that does not have a license plate. An "off-road vehicle" is not a legal definition of vehicles.

@@Trailsoffroad Awesome. Very much appreciate the response. I'll look it up. Any other place where typical/major changes tend to be made on wranglers? I'm looking to get my first one and am trying to do research into what to buy standard, what to be upgraded by the dealer, and what to do myself with my VERY limited skills. I have a feeling that the dealer may offer some overpriced things (like a tailgate hinge upgrade or half doors with uppers) that might be better bought elsewhere. But I don't really know for certain or where to go if they were.
@Trailsoffroad
@Trailsoffroad 2 жыл бұрын
Nathaniel, what I could do if I were to do it all over again is start as minimal as you can. If you get a Rubicon, leave it stock for a while and just see what its limitations are. If you didn't get a rubicon, maybe throw some good tires on there and start wheeling it. They are super capable rigs out of the box. IMO, the best factory mods are the LED lights (which I don't have, and regret), the tow package (gives you the 4 fused AUX switches in the cabin), and if you are in a cold area, maybe the cold weather package. If you ever have any other questions, leave us a feedback on our site and we'd love to help you out! www.trailsoffroad.com/feedback
@rabidhellhound9714
@rabidhellhound9714 2 жыл бұрын
@@Trailsoffroad Thank you for the advice. I've heard about the lights and tow package from multiple people and videos. Yes, that's a definite upgrade I want. From there my main concern is reinforcing the tailgate and seeing if there are more comfortable seats. I'm a bigger guy, so I prefer flat seats to those with edges that stick up. Also, if memory serves, the stock seats were about 2" too short and felt like they needed to provide more support. Being able to scoot them back further as well would be nice. I've heard that there's an extended track for that? I don't mind taking up back seat foot area. I'll only have passengers back there 1% of the time I drive it. If that. Finally, is there a way to LOWER the seats? I think that I'm at an ok height, but lowering the seat an inch or two wouldn't be bad either. I need to do more test driving, but the wrangler sits rather prim and proper compared to my 2005 toyota tundra, which is a bit more relaxed.

Thanks for the great videos and I will be posting on your site and getting all access. Do you have plans to sell any stickers or t-shirts, I would love to buy and help support your work and I need some new stickers for my Jeep 😃

There is things in the works. But a funnier way to get a sticker is to ask a crew member out on the trail. We usually carry some in our vehicles.

This was my first off-road trip in my Land Cruiser so many years ago. Good times. In fact, if people are so inclined I have the entire uncut trail here just to see what's out there. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r8p-hqyBltiuaaM.html My camera battery ran out but we did the exact same trip.

love your videos, BUT please be consistent with your Audio... it goes loud when music comes on and voice over is low.
