The front wheel drive single motor has been excellent for me and a great driving experience. This can only be better. I do like the look of the front grill on the previous models though. Great video.

Great to see Dan doing car reviews, consummate professional and always focuses on the product. As for the Polestar, Autotrader has 2 year old models for sub £30K….so you have to swallow a depreciation pill here! My assumption will be most of these will be company buys to negate the tax, but for a private buyer on 8% + on finance, you will be paying through the nose. And at £50K it’s not cheap…..

I got a 2023 Polestar 2 with the Plus and Pilot packs with the 20" wheels in White (Snow). LOVE the car! Handles amazing, feels solid, inspires me to drive. Oh and every time I park and walk away, I cant resist looking back!!

I want one so bad haha. It looks classy, i love its build and design. And hearing the new range of 400 miles is an absolute freaking win. Its also shockingly affordable, i was surprised and the infoltainment looks really good now. Its super fast and designed to be stupid easy to use

Looking forward to seeing more detailed reviews on range; I’m putting the new PS2 on my first-ever EV shortlist for 2026-27. As I’m likely not to buy new, that £49k will at that point be cheaper as used, so more affordable.

Am I the only one who wishes they kept the fake grill? I think it looked super bad-ass. But trivia aside, the RWD update is a massive win. Keep it up PoleStar, one day I will have enough scratch to buy one of your lovely EVs… one day!! 😭

I think this is one of the nicest looking EVs of recent times. Not the best looking, or the most beautiful, but just a really nice one. Far better than the Eletre, I-Pace, any equivalent from Audi, BMW and Mercedes and even the Model 3. I love that they've kept it simple and haven't felt the need to overdesign it and make it hideous like any of the ones I mentioned (except the Tesla), although I do miss the grille. The new cover makes it look a bit bland, the old grille made the front have some contrast and structure like a normal car. The other flashy bit is the wheels, although I'm sure there are more sane wheel options available. With the car now being RWD, I'm really liking this quite a bit.

2024 RWD LR handles well and is very fast,acceleration took my breath away. Accelerates like a Thorpe Park ride !

How is the "noise" in the car? Any "rattles" or clips-plastic-noise in the car while driving?

Can i ask, if you are outside near the car , can someone jump in and drive it away, or does key fob have to be inside the car ?

1:59 Is it just me or is that brake pad retaining spring installed incorrectly? It's not hooked into anything in the center of the caliper.

Increasing range by fitting a larger battery isn’t the way to go though, is it? It’s like running a memory hungry operating system on your computer, then trying to fix the problem by fitting more memory. Real improvement would have been a range increase because of weight savings, better aero and better efficiency. That would have given you a better car.

Nice, but shame about the wheels!

Test drove the older model recently. I really like the exterior and the drivers display however I really wasn’t a fan of the handling compared to my model 3, it felt like the car was struggling to handle the power of the motor. Not that I got to really test but the efficiency was another concern as well.

Aside from the Tesla (who’s insurance is double than this) the Polestar has been the best car to drive of many EVs I’ve tested in recent months. However, for the £££ I can get a lot more car for my £££ in a Ioniq 5 or an EV6

I’d like to see how to disengage the front motor via the onscreen display.

Love my ps2 front wheel drive. Much better on icy roads in Sweden :-)

The maximum range of the Polestar 2 is not “more than 400 miles,” it is 320 miles for RWD; 276 miles for AWD.

EV for petrolheads came in the forms of Jaguar I-PACE, Porsche Taycan, and Audi e-tron GT.

They have a fanboying following. They’re called “Polesmokers.”

In Canada it is 55K Canadian dollars before government rebates, around 30-35 thousand British pounds. Not sure why it is so expensive there, anyhow it has a lot to offer…. Performance is overrated, range 515km in Canada, build and style are key, cheers🎉

Polestar 1 has a cramped feeling and doesn't have enough room for my legs. Poor use of console space. Ride quality over bumps was deal breaker for me. Unless they fix those issues I wouldn't get one. Looks good though.
