@@MidnightChimey Empire is certainly more *watchable* than Ranskoor is, in the sense that it’s not utterly boring and flaccid, but genuinely I’ll take boring over something that feels like it’s actively insulting my intelligence and emotional investment.

@@MidnightChimey I probably am going over-the-top. I just feel he barely resembles the same showrunner from 2005. That and he always is speaking to the press causing controversy where/when he has no need to. Have a top weekend.

Space Babies is fine honestly, just a bit of an anonymous filler episode with some jank effects

RTD and dare I say even Chibnall have both proven capable of it on occasion, that's what is frustrating

​@@MidnightChimey I'm afraid those sources were incorrect. RTD was based in Manchester at the time, and I've never seen any proof that Chibnall was part of the Vauxhall Tavern group.

RTD won't try to justify his "fantastical plots" with any in-universe explanation because he doesn't feel the need to, as far as he's concerned the show isn't grounded in realism, and whether you like that or not I feel is quite subjective. I don't mind it for the most part, but the finale didn't work

Same, I hate those. But it wasn't that and I ended up mostly agreeing. It would be great to have some fresh new writers and more of them, even the show-runner, the next show-runner has to be someone new. David Tennant's return and the bigeneration not being explained sucked, like even Capaldi's face was explained in a satisfying way and he only played a character in a single episode previously... Tennant was a whole doctor. The bigeneration seems to be just written in for the sake of Tennant having like a 'happy ending', but there is no in universe explanation of it...

@@Neimit Normally I'm not fixated on every detail being explained but the trouble with Tennant coming back that bothers me is unless you explain it away somehow, it opens the door for any previous actor to just come back at any time, which is not a good direction for the show to go in, it's just not.

You tyrants may currently have complete control over the media, hating and attacking everyone who refuses to join your religion, and says not to your unthinkable immorality, but this country used to be in the hands of good people - people who weren't racist, sexist or homophobic. People who didn't hate their fellow human beings, who had respect, love, kindness in their hearts, who believed in equality and tolerance. For hundreds of years, our society was good, and one day it will be good again when woke is overcome. You can hate. attack and "cancel" good people all you like but we were here first and ultimately, good people will triumph over you and your hatred. Your vicious, bigoted ways will be no more. I fully expect to be attacked for writing this because that's the woke way sadly.
