Today I'm reviewing the remake of CTR, a highly regarded racing game that finished off Crash Bandicoot's career in 1999. I will be judging it on its own merit and how it compares to others like it. If I forget to mention something I probably didn't. Thanks for watching.

I liked the review, but in case you don't know it, you didn't really completed the game, the maximum is 101% and you get an Oxide skin for that

This is probably my favorite video on nitro fueled. You did a great job! As someone who aspires to analyze parts of game design and figure out what works and what doesn’t, despite cramming hours into this game, you actually enlightened a lot of good arguments I actually agree with and hadn’t considered. In particular, the one in regards to the lack of background elements in the PS1 original and how much of a detriment it was compared to the original crash trilogy, games which focused on making an environment brimming with life. A very solid video. Keep it up Rev!

Thank you so much for defending the game, I really hate it when people only talk about microtransactions and not how well made this game is!!

Trust me it was no problem. So much discussion I've seen about this game is all about the microtransactions and not on any of the actual gameplay, to the point where it got frustrating. Hopefully more people can get past that aspect and just judge the game based on what it is, and not on something they've been told to hate.

@@tgnoat910 those sales mite go back up again because we got 3 more grand prix's and we finally got Nina cortex komodo Moe and n brio in the Nina grand prix and we got more crash tag team racing karts and we got the engine swap

Is this game unattractive to jump into now? I know of all the battle passes they’ve done and reportedly all the content is locked after each event ends.

In terms of the cosmetic content, yeah I'm pretty sure it's inaccessible now, but keep in mind it's only cosmetic. All the added stages are still available, which to me were the most important parts of the events. Currently they're at the end of the third grand prix, with many more still to come, so I'd say now is as good as a time as ever to jump into the game.

i think almost everything is posisble to unlock now, they added all on the pit stop i belive, and even if not you can mod the game to unlock all pit stop items.

Maybe you just miss spoke or something, but the CTR token race was in the original CTR game too.

Oh I see where the confusion came from. Before I mentioned the CTR token races, I talked about how the time trials are like the ones from the old games, thus I referred to the token race as "new", that being new to the original game and never seen before it. Just tricky wording on my part basically.
