This is the most wonderful tutorial on one of my favorite Rachmaninoff preludes. This G minor Prelude and the no 4 in D major, and the G major op 32 no 5 have always been 3 Preludes I have "played around" with but never quite finished! Thanks to your videos I am now back at the piano, determined for master all three once and for all!

@@tingtingzhang Hi, you said that for amator pianists tempo should not be our top focus. But is there a minimum tempo required for this piece to be correctly interpreted ?

If you have big hands and you feel comfortable connecting, fine. But in general when playing fast octaves and chordal passages, letting go of the notes quickly is always a good way to release tensions.
