This video is based on my first attempt of Hitchhiking in Turkey. I got a ride from Tekirdag to Gallipoli. Thanks to a politician who offered me the ride. He was quite an interesting man though talking with him was a challenge as we didn’t understand each other’s language. Watch this video to know how was my experience of the first ride in Turkey.

3:55 He asks "you want to go to Greece?" ("yunanistana gidecek misin?"). 4:36 He says "I'll present him to the district president of Gelibolu". 6:44 I think he is showing you the Koru Mountains ("Koru Dağları"). 7:08 He is showing you a rice field I believe. He is saying "pirinç" which means "rice" in turkish. He then asks you how you call rice in India ("Hindistan"). 9:40 He says I'll park here and then at the end he asks "if you want to go somewhere I can bring you there". 10:32 He says "I brought him from India" and the seller asks "What's up?" ("Napiyon?"). 10:41 It's the Gelibolu district HQ of AKP (Justice and Development Party), the party that rules Turkey right now. 10:50 They salute themselves obviously lol and then he asks you to come meet the district president (I searched and his name is Mehmet Gözütok I believe) of AKP, he says again "I brought you a friend from India". After that, you have a guy speaking in english so no need to translate. Tayyip Erdogan is the actual president of Turkey he is from AKP (you said that after), Atatürk is the founder of the Turkish republic. Then they say this is our local president ("başkan") and say "en büyük başkan bizim başkan" which means "the greatest president is our president" to honour him.

Yes it's true. For example just the north of Turkey provides 80 % of the total hazelnuts in the world. It's the Turkish hazelnuts you find in Nutela. But like in India the farmers have difficulties to live. The state not giving enough help to the farmers is one of the explanations.

The best thing what i like about this channel is hitch hiking.It just simply shows human spirit to not give up.Even if some one is in foreign land and fighting for his dreams don't lose hope.Help will definitely come sooner or later. This is called true travel experience. I have seen many vlog where they use uber Or expensive cab without needed. But hitchhiking, normal travel by bus, live with there's local people is great experience. Have seen all your vlogs. They are just👌👍.

I know some scammers r there as if u watch varun's earlier videos..there's scammers in turkey also...Majority of people r always welcomes tourists barring some exceptions...
