I've been telling people for years that the Raiders did not lose that game because of the Tuck Rule. They lost that game because they couldn't get a first down with one yard to go before any of that happened oh, and now I know where that situation came from. These videos are so awesome!

Agree. Vince Lombardi used to say something to the effect of “If you can’t get one yard you don’t deserve to win the game.” Bill Belichick had the Patriots playing well the year after Brady retired with a rookie QB. But loosing Dante Scarnechia & Ernie Adams had to have over 80 years experience between them. Losing them so close together left huge holes. I’m not a Pats fan but I’m a fan of the truth. Belichick was still an amazing coach right up to his last game. He had no offense & was trying to fix it. Bob Kraft greatly disappointed me when he fired Bill. Bill made Kraft respected in the game. No other HC would’ve kept 4 QBs for 2000 nor let Brady keep the starting job with a $100M QB on the bench. Bill Belichick has been the greatest head coach in the NFL since 1991 & one of the very top, of not #1 of all time. I would love to say that the 2001 Patriots beat my Steelers because they cheated. But it’s not true. Bill did not break the filming location rule as it was written at that time & Goodell couldn’t change it by memo. It required 75% of the owners to approve the rule change in a vote. Brady didn’t cheat in Deflategate. Refs were overinflating footballs. Brady had the Pats equipment guy fix it. Truth is what counts.

New theory. On the sidelines of a practice field 5 yards (or a few yards) out is another line that WRs use for giving the QB room to place the ball & for them to have room to keep the DB outside to then go get the ball. Depending on lighting conditions it can be hard for some men to see red lines over top of green but pink has enough white in it to see the line as light goes down at night. What if detail oriented Ernie considered the idea of using pink? Add that to the conspiracy theories.

I am a big Seattle Seahawks fan but have to respect the Patriots for their relentless pursuit of excellence over the past two plus decades now. Ernie Adams is one of those guys who had often been overlooked (much due to his own desire to stay under the radar).
